For the Summer Games, the first athlete representing Haiti competed at the Games of the II Olympiad Paris 1900, taking part in the sport of fencing. At the Games of the VIII Olympiad Paris 1924, athletes representing Haiti won a first Olympic medal of any colour, capturing bronze in the men’s shooting free rifle 400, 600 and 800m team event. For the Winter Games, the first athlete representing Haiti competed at the XXIV Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022, taking part in the discipline of alpine skiing. No athlete representing Haiti has yet won an Olympic Winter Games medal of any colour.

At Beijing 2022, the NOC was represented by Richardson Viano, who finished 34th in the men's slalom and did not finish the men's giant slalom.
