How to Become a TV Author and Screenwriter (My story without Degree)
This is my experience as a TV author, the essential skills, and the “extra step” required to work in television.
Sometimes I even ask myself how I managed to become a TV author, even though I only have a middle school diploma (or eighth-grade education).
My parents asked themselves the same question when I told them. “How did you do it?” The second question was, “So what do you do?”
The job of a TV author has several facets and involves different roles depending on how a channel or program is organized. However, there are essential requirements and skills that all authors on every television channel worldwide must possess.
I told my mother, “I sent a CV, and they called me.” But it didn’t happen exactly like that. Not just because I had been sending dozens of CVs a day for weeks.
This prompted me to write a more detailed list of how to become a TV author, having only a middle school diploma. It will be divided into two sections.
