The reason I will not “listen to this” and why this message was a waste of your time (“thanks” man fuck you) is because there is ALWAYS, ALWAYS a “reason” that makes antisemitism against diaspora jews “ok” to you or every other antisemite. A random, individual jew in the west is never responsible for antisemitism against them, even if they happen to be the most kahanist ben-gvir loving piece of shit imaginable. People think “everything Israel does” (a.k.a. all and only the worst things that people claim Israel does) is the fault and responsibility of jews around the world becuase they hate jews. Jews were not safe before scum like you blamed them for the actions of the Israeli state, and jews would not be safe if the Israeli state stopped existing (jews would, in fact, be monumentally less safe without the existance of a safe haven from antisemitic violence and persecution). The idea that jews face antisemitism because of Israel is laughable on its face - except in the sense that antisemites use Israel as an excuse for their antisemitism. Did the Holocaust also happen because Israel was being genocidal, is that what you’re going to come and tell me next?

I am curious if you think hatred and violence against diaspora Palestinians it is equally legitimate because Hamas committed October 7th - I’m on the edge of my seat to hear you confirm that you are just as fine with that, which I assume you are because this opinion of yours is not just an excuse for antisemitism, no?

In any scenario, it would still be IMPOSSIBLE to “uncouple” judaism from Israel if you tried.

Progressives would not make this argument about any other group. However they don't see Jews as people and instead of taking responsibility for their own hatred and the results, they blame the victim...just as antisemites have always done. It's just this century's "well if Jews didn't want to be hunted for sport they shouldn't have made us mad by killing Jesus, which is a thing they definitely totally did." No one would say "well if Chinese Americans don't want to be subject to violence then China should stop committing genocide against Uyghur Muslims in Xinjiang also Chinese Americans should renounce all their heritage and culture and family" or "if Muslims in New Zealand don't want to have their Mosques attacked then ISIS should clean up its act."

No one would say that because Trump is currently President in the USA it would be ok for someone whose family was deported by ICE to come to a random kindergarten and murder all the children there just because they are Americans or even if their parents were active Trump supporters. No one would say because Trump is president and doing bad things, it would be ok for foreigners to beat or kill American tourists in their country.

It is not acceptable to punish Jews in other countries because you don't like what Israel does. And by the way, xenophobia and discrimination on the basis of national origin are not ok so it's also not acceptable to discriminate against, punish or harm Israelis or people of Israeli heritage. EVER. Regardless of their political views by the way.

I should not have to even explain but this, but IT IS NOT OK TO DISCRIMINATE AGAINST OR MURDER JEWS. FOR ANY REASON. Not because they are Jews or because you don't like their political views or because you don't like what some other Jews somewhere else did or because you don't like where their relatives are from or because they won't renounce their culture or because they won't perform their Jewishness correctly or because you are feeling angry.

"Jews and Israelis are human beings actually therefore they deserve human rights and racism and bigotry targeting them is bad" is such a basic concept that it's disgusting that I even had to write a whole essay explaining it, that we and society are at a point where people who care about this issue are having to say "hey jews are people; imagine if you applied this standard to another group you already recognize as human. see? It's wrong. it would be disgusting and bigoted if you did it to another group. now apply that to jews. because jews are actually people too."

WTF is wrong with so many people and where are their values? To grow up in a modern society being taught the values of justice and liberty and anti-discrimination and then to fall so quickly into this kind of behavior is beyond shameful. If there is a word in English for how bad it is, I don't know it.
