Ugh, I'm sick of it. Every time i see women praised for not wearing a bra, they're almost exclusively women who have small, perky boobs. God forbid I go braless and my nipples point downwards, now everyone looks at me like I'm crazy. I had a friend even call them "weird", especially upsetting since they're a big feminist, but i guess even they can't escape internalised bullshit about the bodies of people built differently from them.
EDIT: Jesus people, do y'all cut off your best friend of over a decade who knows you and supports you better than anyone over one weird comment 😭 Please, I've said similar shit to them because we have that sort of sibling, making fun of each other humor. I casually mentioned the situation to them and they immediately apologised, crisis averted. Not a fake friend, just a normal human being that sometimes says the wrong things, and the number 1 person I would go to war for.
Finally decide to get myself a few nice bras. I followed the advice I found here and used the ABraThatFits calculator, ended up at a 42L or 40M. After the number shock wore off I’ve been trying to find somewhere online that carries those sizes. It’s been.. rough.
I’d like one comfortable every day bra, a sports bra or 2 for hiking/gym activities, and one nice push up bra because I wear a lot of low cut clothing and would like some nice cleavage because mine hang.
Any advice? Where are y’all buying nice bras in 2026?
Do you guys ever get plastic surgery allegations? I’ve seen a lot of people here to talk about their experiences with that. As a skinny girl, I’ve never gotten that people assume they’re real and in shock I carry a lot if anything. Maybe because I live in a small city and you rarely see anyone with plastic surgery. You also rarely see people show their cleavage.
i love being a girl so much. i love pink and purple and i love flowers and all the girly things you’d think a girl would love but i feel like i can’t embrace my femininity (through clothing specifically) because of how large my breasts are. it’s such an odd thing to say, i know lol, but i think it’s due to all the women i see who are also into the same things as me are all dainty and small and have small breasts. anyone else ever felt like this?
I have three weddings this summer and every dress I try either gaps at the chest or feels like i'm wearing a tent to compensate. there has to be a middle ground between "showing everything" and "hiding everything", I wanna finally look good in photos…
Hi! Im a GG size and ive never seen lingerie for big chested women. What store or online store do you guys use and like?
Im in canada!
It’s been much bigger past few years. Especially in low cut shirts. They look terrible on us because the line doesn’t actually wind up below our breasts, but like halfway down.
Sorry just venting, surprised I haven’t seen this specific clothing vent
I realised something recently that I wanted to share on here! After lurking for a while on this sub and spending time one r/abrathatfits, I have worked very hard to accept myself more.
The constant comments men make even when I am wearing a hoodie (which is all the time) and the fact that big boobs are getting sexualised all the time on tiktok (hello Sydney Sweeney) was making me feel like a sex object - and that is so far from the truth.
But for a few wekks now, I realised that I stopped thinking about it. I don't feel self conscious when I go to the gym as much as before. Having a bra that hides them more helps. Also, my boyfriend does not sexualise this body part in bed so that helped a lot too.
Just wanted to say this! For once, I've been having a saner relationship with my body and that makes me happy. Wanted to share the positivity!
I've measured using ABTF and have read through every post. I've purchased maybe 20 bras in the past month and returned all but 2 of them because something minor is off about the fit or they are uncomfy (I think I have sensory issues so I'm very picky). So far the Elomi Matilda fits the best. The other bra I've kept is from Underoutfit but that's more of a lounging bra.
I'm looking for any and all recommendations ... Everyday comfy bra, one that's a little bit nicer and sports bras.
The women have to wear skin tight body suits and lie on the sleds on their stomachs, face down, pressed as flat as possible.
What an epic fail this sport would be for us….
I (20) have an unfortunate habit of outgrowing my bras relatively quickly. I purchased a 36G (USA sizing) from SOMA 4 months ago and am already spilling out of it. I have also since lost some weight and the band has gotten looser, so if anything I would've expected them to go down or at least stay the same. I roughly sized myself using the bra size calculator from Understance, a charging cord, and a ruler, and if my self sizing is accurate I now need a 32J. I'm just wondering when I can feel better about buying myself more than 1-2 good bras without fear of immediately having to turn around and buy new ones a few months later. Also if anyone has bra site recommendations, particularly for sports bras, then please let me know. I haven't ordered anything from Understance quite yet because I want to get properly sized before I buy things since they currently have a no return policy, but once I get that done I will be getting at least a few bras from them.
And I've never been more disappointed. I was so excited. I thought it'd be like khols but with bras that fit me. Nah. They asked me what I was looking for. I said I'd like to start with a 40H and see if abrathatfits calculator was actually correct. She went "mhmmmmmm let me look in thr back..." I mean seriously. How the fuck are my boobs to big for the big boob store??? She came back 40 and 42 Gs and I managed to grab a 42G that I was able to comfortably get into sorta but seriously? I just need to be able to try on bras before I buy them. I got the 42G because the bra I have now is 6 years old and I wear it every day cause it's the only one that I have that fits. The G at least offers a tiny bit more support and is less likely to fall apart soon. This is just ridiculous I don't like big boobs anymore someone else take em
(or context I am 36J) I'm not sure if someone posted on this already, but guys, RUN, don't walk. I lowkey thought it was a scam when I first saw it, but "Understandance" is going out of business, and their bras, underwear, lingerie, and nightware are all on sale!!
They have sizes from 28-48, A to N, and I loveeeee my bras. I was victim to the Victoria's Secret and cheap bras, and I was looking for high-quality bras, and they were all like 70 bucks... I then stumbled on understandance and ordered 4 bras and a sleep dress for $65 (original price would be 352)!!! And let me tell you these are the best bras I have EVERR felt. Firstly, the bras separate my boobs, and it's fantastic because I always get bad sweat from them touching each other and under my boob touching my skin. PLUS SPORTS BRA, it's based on your size (i.e. 36J) and it separates your boobs so they're not mushed together and sweating against one another. And like they are HELD. I was jumping around to test them, and they were not moving.
The only bad side is that since they're receiving a high volume of orders, they take 8-10 weeks to come. I ordered mid january and just received it a week and a half ago. But it was well worth the wait! I hope this helps some of you((:
I just got into a relationship and I was trying to shop night wears to wear when he is around but I haven’t found a night wear that is good for my bust, all the ones I have seen are either my body size and not boob size
What do you guys think, do you guys has the same problems with nightwear’s or it’s just me because I don’t want to sleep in pyjamas sometimes I want something sexy and nice
I know it’s a broken record to complain about how people sexualize our chests more than those in the itty bitty titty committee, but I just encountered it again and SHIT it sucks.
Idk how may of you are in the fiber arts community, but the crochet subreddit has been notorious for sexualizing women and fellow big titty havers who show off their crocheted tanks/crops, bralettes etc. solely because they have a larger chest. That subreddit is already going to hell for a plethora of other reasons other than just this, but damn. It hurts to see every time. You’ll see people with smaller chests showing off the gorgeous pieces they’ve made for themselves, and it’s seen as completely fine. But someone with a big chest posts them modeling their work the same way? It’s taken down and told to be marked as NSFW.
And the mods will address every concern the members have BUT this, too. They consistently ignore people calling them out on the double standard. I’ve seen it way too many times and it’s just so disheartening. I live it every day in the real world already, and I know I shouldn’t be surprised that the internet is the same; but I still always hold out hope that these so called safe space communities that exist purely for the love of the craft won’t hold double standards or sexualize people like us just for how our bodies are shaped too. Sadly, that hope is often squashed.
why does it seem like everyone hates big boobs? "omg you look SO much younger" being the main comment women get after a reduction always sits weirdly with me. some of us do not want a reduction or cannot afford one. if women with smaller breasts look young, what does that make the rest of us, grandma tits?
i feel like comments like that unintentionally send the message that bigger chests automatically make women look older or worse, which is a strange thing to normalize. bodies naturally come in all shapes and sizes. i think the main focus should just be how happy and relIeved women look and feel after getting a reduction, especially since many women get them for pain and physical relief, not just appearance.
So recently I've been having bad neck and shoulder pain that's probably related to my 34Gs and my desk job. I want to fix my posture which I've noticed has gotten a bit hunched over the years. When I pull my shoulders back and tighten my core, my boobs look so much bigger and noticeable and it makes me self conscious. It looks like I'm purposely pushing my boobs outlike a highschol girl flirting with her crush. I've looked in a full body mirror and my back and hips are aligned properly.
I don't really know why I'm posting but I guess I want to know how people deal with this, do you have good posture and what do you do to maintain good posture.
So I dont know what my chest size is because last time I was sized I was 32DD when I was a preteen and ive been getting adjustable bras ever since. They have gotten bigger since i just never bothered getting resized.
Anyway. So normally I wear baggy shirts and hoodie and basically anything that hides my body. No particular reason. I just like dressing comfortable. Except today I ran out of my baggy shirts and it was too warm to wear a hoodie or jacket. So I wore a semi form fitting shirt. And I began noticing people looking down at my chest first before looking at my face. It was kinda funny to be honest. Im a cashier so I see a lot of people and my vest does not cover anything. (Maybe my armpits and side but thats it.)
I started making a little bit of a game out of it. Counting every time I saw someone look at my chest. (Not a glance had to be a full second) I did not bring any attention to my chest. I just did what I did like normal.
I had 18 people stare at my chest. I found it rather humorous. Ive never been particularly ashamed of my chest or my body. I kinda felt flattered so many people stared at them. Im still going back to my baggy clothes cuz I like being comfortable but hey. It was fun lol.
Edit: i will no longer be answering any private dms. If you have a question to ask me. As me in the comments, please.
Are there ready-to-wear clothing brands for busty women who AREN'T plus-size?
Being a person with a 27" waist, a 28" ribcage, but a 40" bust, for YEARS the search has been on for a clothing brand that could accommodate the coconuts without forcing a size upgrade.
I used to love Pepperberry and Bravissimo and D'Atelier clothing, but they're all defunct. I've found some vintage-style brands like Micheline Pitt and Trashy Diva that do it somewhat, but would love to know about other brands, including ones with more modern styling?
Does anyone know of a clothing brand that services the XS-XL size range, but actually accommodates for bust?
ETA: Please stop suggesting tailoring. I already pay to tailor and started hand tailoring smaller jobs years ago. It’s exhausting and expensive and I’m tired of investing time and money into it. I just had a major surgery and would like to be able to buy something off the rack that just fits without having to wait weeks for it to fit properly.
EDIT: Thanks to those who have commented, I've come up with this list:
-
PrettyLittleThing's Shape line (for hourglass)
-
Urkye (customize bra size separate from torso size)
-
eShakti (has been reported as a shady biz tho)
Will keep adding to it as comments are added that I vet accordingly.
I hate them, I hate them with a passion that makes me think if I had a wish I would erase this garment out of humanity’s collective memory. Most of these “dresses” are glorified bath robes with the highest risk of a slip up ever. When someone tells me I should “at least try it on” I wish I had laser eyes to burn the dress there and then.
These dresses are an excuse to not even try and make a pattern that fits, and we are all falling for this lazy manufacturing.
Wrap tops are the exact same. Burn them all!
I bought a crocheted top at an arts market today. I was wearing a tank top, so the artist suggested I try it on. I started with a large, but she said it seemed too big. When she looked closer she was like, “How strange. Your back is small but your chest is big. You have an unusual body.”
My boyfriend was angry she said that, but I noticed she was pretty petite and had a very small chest, so I’m guessing she hasn’t encountered my build before. I imagine it’s not every day you see a 12” difference between someone’s band and bust lol.
I ended up getting the top, even though I have no idea what I’ll wear under it. What came to mind was those stretchy/jersey looking drop-shipped TikTok bras I see advertised all the time. Has anyone here actually tried those?
I know for fact I’m not the only one who’s experienced this but nonetheless it hurts my feelings :(
I feel like I have a lot to offer people and yet most people don’t see me past my boobs. Whether it be online or irl. I have over 1200 followers on TikTok and rarely post thirst traps yet no matter what I post people will still comment about only my boobs/body and say things like “I know her body count is insane”.
I recently went to talk to a Navy recruiter since I’ve been wanting to serve in the military since highschool and the young man trying to recruit me literally looked me up and down and suggested combat wasn’t meant for “girls like me” aka women with big curves, and that maybe I would be happier in a navy nursing position, despite me being at a healthy weight.
It hurt my feelings. It’s been something I’ve dealt with my whole life and it’s made me feel very disgusting and uncomfortable with my own body. I just wish people would actually see me for me, look into my eyes and not my chest.
I’ve been on a journey trying to find something to wear that’s actually comfortable. I’m a 36HH and have sensory issues, specially when skin touches skin. I have Ehlors Danlos so I can’t wear bras or anything like that that gives support. I’m looking for something to wear that just goes under/between my breasts to keep the skin on skin from happening. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks!
I’ve recently gotten into the habit of soaking in an Epsom salt bath. It’s for multiple joints so I just soak from the neck down. It always cracks me up whenever I see my boobs floating. I often forget that my big naturals are just inflated with fat and that fat floats. It also feels damn good to not have them weighing me down even for just a few minutes. My bathtub is also so small that even at 4’11” I have to bend my knees a lot to fit in it so the boob floaties help make the experience a bit more bearable.
Do they actually work for anyone with big boobs? Cause they do absolutely nothing for me! Or have I just not found the right ones?
Hi boobie pals, I’ve got some tig ole bitties (which I despise) but who need a non wired decent bralette/sports bra type thing as I have a big surgery next week and want to recover in comfort. A good soft non wired type thing that doesn’t make me feel and look absolutely hideous?
Sugar Candy bralette doesn’t make a size big enough for these cans. And I live in the US and want to order it on Amazon and get it ASAP this week. Please give me your best reccs!
Thank you 🙏🏻
Breast asymmetry and bra fitting (Women, All ages)
https://forms.gle/NdUsjnJ2JBMz1bBs6
We are university students conducting a project to assess the current market situation. Our goal is to understand how significant of a challenge breast asymmetry (including changes during pregnancy and breastfeeding) poses for women when shopping for bras, and what compromises they are currently forced to make. The survey is anonymous and takes approximately 2 minutes to complete. Thank you for your help!
Does anyone else feel like having a bigger chest somehow becomes the main thing people define you by?
Like you can be good at your job, skilled at something, or genuinely passionate about what you do… but people seem surprised when you’re actually good at it. Almost like they didn’t expect it.
I’ve 32JJ size and had moments where I explain something related to work or a topic I know well, and the reaction is almost like “oh wow, you actually know this stuff.” And it’s such a weird feeling because… why wouldn’t I?
Sometimes it feels like people subconsciously reduce you to your body first, and everything else comes second. Your abilities, intelligence, or achievements suddenly become “unexpected.”
It’s frustrating because you want to be recognized for what you do and who you are, not just a physical feature you didn’t choose.
And honestly, the moment people act amazed that you’re competent or skilled says a lot about the stereotypes they had in their head in the first place.
Anyone else experience this kind of thing?
I'm sick of this synthetic seamless-style material all my wireless bras are made of. Synthetic materials seem to make me sweat and smell worse. I am in search of wireless, lined (bathing suit style liner pads for nipple coverage) cotton (or natural fibre) bras with a clasp back that are large enough for my cup size. I am a 36 DD/DDD depending on the store. All the ones I can find are either claspless in S-M-L-XL style sizing, so the bands are too large for the right cup size. I have found a couple in my size that have clasps, but none are lined. While I would love to just say screw it and get the unlined ones, I don't want my nips popping at work lol.
Any suggestions would be great, even if they don't meet every criteria. Just looking for a wireless bra that that fits, is comfy and doesnt make me sweat/stink or show my nipples. My current fave bras are the Warners easy does it wireless bras in XL. They are perfect in every way except the material.
Thank you in advance!
I have been away from Reddit for a minute due to mental health reasons, so I didn't come here for opinions first.
I was in need for a good sports bra to specifically go hiking with, but also for general boob containment purposes.
A friend recommended SheFit as a good sports bra. I've seen some of the ads. Seemed okay. Good reviews. Loved the color selection. I purchased a black one and a green one.
These things have to be the most ineffective sports bras I've ever bought. Look cute enough. Cool features. Utterly useless.
My boobs still bounce. The adjustable straps seem good in theory, but the implication that wasn't present was that you need smaller boobs for this matter.
The wear and return policy expired, so I'm not getting that money back. I'm going to see if I have any luck in r/BraTtade.
If you have D cups (singular) of even DD cups, these sports bras will probably be a game changer.
Anything higher than that, tough.
Sorry for the negativity. This is just annoying lol.
Hope you all have a great weekend.
Hey, I know this is very niche, but I was wondering if any of you have any experience with shopping for ballistic vests as a large chested woman?
It is for non nefarious purposes.
I was at a concert last night, heading to our seats. I moved aside to allow him through and he takes my shoulder and whispers into my ear “aren’t you supposed to have TWO boobs?” He goes to squeeze my bralette bound boobs but I just walked away after pushing him off.
I’ve had so many encounters like this more and more over the years. It’s reaching a point where I bought a binder to compress them when I go out without my boyfriend. I hate this world we share with these monsters
This is a follow up to a post I made a few weeks ago about my struggles being so sexualized for my breast and blackness. So if you think it has no correlation to this thread it’s a follow up lol!
Reflections 24 years and counting as a autistic woman
As I sit here now at 24 pondering where I am in life I think it’s so interesting. Not only did I expect to make it this far for a myriad of reasons but I also just couldn’t fathom a life with this level of peace. Don’t get me wrong I fought tooth and nail to be where I am and had to learn about grit the hard way. However I just never thought this way of living was a possibility for me. I have not wanted to be alive since I was 9, I never felt quite at peace or at home in my body or my life due to me being severely disabled, being the black sheep of the family and my long cocktail list of mental illnesses.
Around age 9 when I envisioned my future I would initially draw a blank, when I gave myself permission to daydream I vaguely remember thinking of me living in major cities and walking on a college campus. Life seemed so light for my peers they seemed to have a close relationship with their parents they seemed to enjoy school and fit in perfectly with one another. I hated myself for not being able to assimilate and acclimate or be the perfect black daughter, I hated that my parents saw me and my disability as a burden and how they were consistently volatile and not a comforting space for me to go too, I hated how I loved them one moment so deeply that it hurt and the next I’d pray for a different set of parents. “Why couldn’t I just be more grateful, less sad” “why couldn’t I just be likeable and tone down my eccentric personality that my peers mocked and my teachers found annoying” I’d think to myself.
Around 15 i genuinely drew a blank when I was planning for my future, I knew I wanted to model and travel or live in a city but I knew realistically my parents wouldn’t let me go anywhere besides the local county college so they could monitor me and not go into unnecessary debt, win win for them. I just didn’t know how I could obtain that life, apart of me also fantasized about a stable life post grad. A nice office job with great pay and benefits, an apartment a car and great social life. I never thought I was smart enough to have a 9-5 or that I had the emotional regulation skills of a quote on quote normal productive adult.
There’s a quote I like that goes “you tell the universe your plans and the universe laughs” meaning you have this idea of how your life will pan out and it’s like this cosmic interference is telling you other wise and pulling you in the opposite direction. I’d say that’s the only thing in my life that’s been prevalent, I plan and plan for something and the universe comes in with a different set of plans. I’ve always wondered why I was never enough to be loved romantically in a healthy holistic way and everyone would laugh and say just focus on yourself it comes when you’re not looking and just lower your standard. I can attest for me personally finding the love I currently have now with my current partner was no easy feat. I had to break down my walls, learn to accept and learn to navigate things with him in a healthy way, it took vulnerability for me to say to him I accept you loving me for who I am. I’ve always accepted the love I thought I deserved and let’s just say it was not up to par to put it lightly. It took me so long to have firm boundaries and run and a program this strict that I found a man who fits my standards.
I’m healthy now, I’m happy now I’m content now. I call my mother every week and catch up with her, I volunteer at my local animal shelter with cats. I like my friends, I like my stable 9-5 as a social worker in county government, I love the loft house I rent by myself and the few international trips I take yearly with my salary. I love going to the cinema and bar with my best friend, my trips to New York to model where I do art modeling and build my portfolio. I love the reassurance and comfort my boyfriend gives me and his eagerness to see me happy and at peace.I like this life and 24 looks good on me. I’ve fought really hard for this life.
UPDATE: Me and my now ex decided to break up since he is in the airforce and just got orders to move to Korea for three years, he has to move by July. So ultimately since that’s not doable long term we went our separate ways unfortunately.
Just curious if any of you on here follow any and your opinion on their posts! Plus who to follow, who has the best tips?
I’m sick of there being literally no tips for trans masc with large, full chests for binding. You search up tips and it’s just guys with saggy chests that can compress. Are there any trans mascs with actual tips for binding?
Binders suffocate me, and don’t get me started on how impossible it is to use trans tape with an actually big chest.
So far all that works for me is a shitty sports bra under my binder, and it still doesn’t fully work.
Whenever I get a bra that actually fits right the back straps are so, so tight and uncomfortable. I get like red marks and it’s really sore. Does anybody know good brands or types with longer/stretchier back straps? Also preferably not too pricey but if there’s nothing else I guess I’ll save up 😭
https://www.theknot.com/content/dresses-for-big-bust-wedding-guest
#1 and #19 are especially bad loll let me just put some ruffles on my bust to make it look even bigger. No wait, let me wear the short shapeless bag
Trying to find a cute, age appropriate, flattering wedding guest dress for a large cup small band is an evil experience. This articles and similarly unhelpful ones are all that come up when you try to search for recommendations
I try my best to stay out of fashion advice subs since the opinions given are usually questionable to me. Anywho, a post from dress for your body type popped up on my feed. I noticed her body looked very similar to mine, and we even favored each other in some of our choices.
A lot of her picks complimented her bust and body. I thought she looked very pretty. Sure, some changes could be made, but the general idea was right. I opened the comments and everyone is just talking about how the clothes don't look good on her bust.
I noticed most of the photos the redditors praised hid her bust. It's like showcasing your boobs in regular clothing is a faux pas. They also called part of her style choice "dated" when in reality the overall silhouettes are great for that body type.
Someone even commented that WRAP DRESSES aren't flattering on her. Huhhhhhhh?? That's like one of the most big boob friendly clothing styles.
Why is "fashion" considered looking as small as possible chest wise? It's okay to have boobs. You're not obligated to "balance" your look by wearing big shirts and jackets.
I just feel so annoyed by that thread. Now I know there's a large group of women that probably sees me similarly even when my clothes fit. It doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things, but man was that depressing to me.
Friends and I are planning a trip to a waterpark this summer, so I have some time to plan what to wear. I haven’t gone swimming in a while, and I think I’m sized out of most swimsuits (30M/MM).
Any advice on appropriate and suitable swim clothing I can wear for such a trip? I don’t think we’ll be actively swimming, but I wanna be able to go down slides without any mishaps.
Edit: I was thinking a sports bra and some sort of bodysuit over it. Maybe a long sleeved tank, but does that veer too closely to the realm of gymwear?
i know this has been posted here before but a lot of the threads i’ve seen are older and wanna know if there’s any new recommendations. absolutely nothing i’ve tried has ever fit me bc of my fuckass boobs and i’m tweaking out about it. my measurement are chest-48
waist- 40 hips- 49. and i really want something cute like no swim dress no fuckass floral i want cute with some ass out. thanks love yall bye :)
I don’t think I’m ugly at and I actually really enjoy my style and have gotten compliments on it. It took my years and years to get comfy with my breast and my body size. I’ve learned to create boundaries when family members or friends or random people act weird or try and have a conversation about them. I wear clothing because I like it, instead of limiting my style because of my breast size. I really am the most confident I’ve ever been.
But it still feels like my breast are the main part of the show. I attract the people I have crushes on, and then they’ll turn out to be breast obsessed freaks. Everyone I’ve ever dated considers themselves a “boob person” and you’d think it would be only men I date that are weird about my breast but a lot of queer people and women are too.
It’s starting to really take a toll on me since I’ve been single for a while. I date and flirt but nothing serious for like 3ish years now. I’ve no issues attracting people but I want it to be more than my boobs. I’m tied of being defined by them and I want to be loved and desired for more than just them.
Every single time I post something people accuse me of seeking attention on my boobs or they just hate straight out…
And of course I get comments that are nice but a bunch of time I have haters hating juat because boobs lol
Edit: I have never felt more understood in my entire life! This community is truly important for all of us who share the same “taboo” struggles.
And regarding my crochet, I’ll soon be receiving a mannequin instead of having to show my designs on my body to get less sexualized and more focus on my work I’m sure it will change it all for me!
And thank you all for the tips I’m so grateful for your comments🤍
I just got perma-banned from a dress for your body subreddit because my fully-clothed body is deemed NSFW. No option for appeal. Sorry I’m shaped like this, I guess. 🤬
Hi! I am an F20. But my story is a bit on the odder side tbh. I started developing really really early at the age of 9 and i technically didnt have my mom around often to help me out. When she realized she sort of gave me a bunch of her own bras to wear which were either too big or too small. To say the least, i never had the experience of "going bra shopping for the first time" or "learning what cup i am etc.". First time i went proper bra shopping was when my cousin also started developing and our uncle hastily just told us to "pick one and get a move with it". i am from a working class family but i wouldnt say i live in a third world country scenario etc. My point being, i developed body dysmorphia from a pretty early age and absolutley hated my breasts that just kept growing humongous year by year. Around the age of 15-16 i tried making those DIY binders with two sports bras but developed rashed around my rib areas. At 18 i got a binder of temu and have been using that one ever since. Now that i am studying abroad on a scholarship, i have healed myself past the body dysmorphia and felt a bit envious of the cute summer tops my friends are wearing. Yesterday i went to a primark to buy a bra on my own for the very first time but was shocked to realize i had no idea what i was doing. There were so many options and i picked a few random ones only to realize C cup loung is too tight but D just looks wierd? And how do people even wear cute tops without their bras showing? And then there were other ones for different functions and was just so confused. I even heard two young girls who mustve been 15 exclaim out loud "oh my gosh, bra shopping is so fun ikr". It pains me to know i was deprived of this by my family's situation but also my past body dysmorphia. I need your guy's help. I have way too big boobs but also saggy? If C is too tight and D is wierd, then what do i do? Where does one go to buy bras? Was primark not a good option to begin with? How many different bras are there? It's so wierd being 20 and yet having no idea about any of these. Help a girl out plz. Thank you
Help finding big bust bras
Women based in India, can you please suggest brands which sell bras with a cup size of H? M&S shows everything is out of stock. It was my saviour all this while. Trylo was a massive disappointment- they sold a D cup bra saying it's H cup. Any suggestions or leads, please please let me know 🙏🙏🙏
does anyone else have awful posture that they suspect is being caused by their boobs? i’m a 32H cup and ever since i hit puberty, my posture became so much worse. when i try and straighten my back it feels like something is pulling me forward and down. my upper back always hurts, and when i exercise it’s even worse for some reason. does anyone else have really bad posture, and if so, how do you help mitigate that?
Okay so a few days ago - I did the measurement to get my size on a bra that fits and thank god someone was there to help me because I couldn’t do that shit on my own - well he helped measure me and we did it exactly like we were supposed to
I didn’t think I grew much at all - well turns out , although my band size remains the same , my bra size was 5x more than the last time I measured (back in October) but I had the “wtf” reaction and I got a bra with the size supposedly that’s mine and what do you know, my chest is snug , and comfy.
I’m still kind of shocked bc i seriously didn’t see any changed within my chest but it could also be a birth control I’m taking that’s possibly effecting it but also I’m young so maybe a little bit of both even !
Anyway ty for reading and have a lovely day 🫶🏽
For context, I have high-set breasts and dense tissue with outer fullness and really struggle finding a bra that fits. I bought some H clip racerback converters based on a recommendation here (thank you!) and it's amazing for me, really takes the weight off my neck and shoulders.
But I'm finding that using a racerback converter makes my current bras too small and cuts into breast tissue, gives major quad boob. Is this normal when you use a racerback converter?
I am looking for a Brand that has my size 75H/80G (European). I prefer lace Bras like the Andrea from HB. Thank you.
The title is basically the question lol, I've basically been running up and down trying to find a decent brand or store that sells comfortable and pretty bras for me to wear that would actually support, does anyone have any good recommendation?
Hi there- located in Canada. I am pregnant again and I'm looking for camis with support for larger and swollen breasts. Not looking for anything overly supportive because I'm really looking for something I can sleep in but still be comfortable. Any suggestions welcome :)
I have sensory issues so it might just be me.
Hello, I'm new here. Ive seen people ask for recommendations for stuff, so I figured it would be a good place to ask! I've recently found out that I'm 30LL, 2hich has taken so adjusting, but it's been very welcome. However now that I've learned of this I don't have any bras that are actually my correct size. So I was wondering if anyone knows any affordable zip up bras? I have limited shoulder mobility so back clasp just aren't an option. I've worn them as long as I can remember, and I overall just prefer them to clasp ones. Anyone have any suggestions or recommendations to move forward? Any and all help is welcome! Quick edit: I don't like sports bras, they add more bulk that I really don't need, lol. I forgot to mention that, I like lighty lined underwater or softly padded zip up bras!

I’ve been looking at a lot of the athletic wear clothing lines (fabletics, DFYNE, acta, etc.), with the hope of getting matching gym sets because idk it’s been my vibe lately, and all these cute and fun tops are KILLING me! I took a chance on a couple, thinking “surely it won’t be as bad as I’m imagining”….
Well I was right they are super cute AND they’re like all boob. I don’t plan to run with these bras on, just lift at the gym and bike on my peloton, but I’m finding myself getting self conscious just thinking of wearing them to my gym.
A part of me wants to say screw it and walk through those doors going YEAH I’M A WOMAN, WITNESS ME 😂 and not care about the looks or energy I get thrown at me because I know that this is about me feeling good about MYSELF and not about me “trying” to get attention. On the other hand, a part of me feels ashamed? Like ashamed to even want to expose myself in that way no matter what I know my intention to be.
The second you get DD+ and try to wear these cute in-style clothes, no matter what I feel like there’s just a weird vibe when people look at you, like all they see is BOOB. So when, god forbid, us larger chested ladies want to wear the same thing as our smaller boobie sisters we get treated differently even just by the looks and now what seemed like a really open gym has turned into what feels like a mine field of weirdness.
Idk, what do y’all do? Do you wear the fit anyway? Hide in a hole? See a therapist about your deep seated body image issues caused by your mothers insecurities and your fathers inability to see/treat you as anything other than an hypersexualized object that was a threat to the family.😅😆
Thank you for coming to my TED Rant, I can’t wait to read y’all’s post and hear your experiences/advice.
Just a curious thing I’ve noticed. I’m on the bottom end of big (E - F). Meet a woman, she glances down after a moment, continue talking. I’ve not noticed this so much with men though?
I wonder if it could be cultural since I live in the UK where staring is seen as very rude, so perhaps men are more careful about sneaking a peek whereas women aren’t as concerned with hiding it?
Or maybe it’s just a me thing lol
i’m curious if anyone else has experienced something like this because my body is confusing me lol.
from about 16–25 my boobs were always on the smaller side. when i was around 16–22 i was a bit chubby (i’m 5’0 so weight shows easily on me) and had about b-cup boobs but they weren’t super full or defined.
then from 22–24 i lost a lot of weight and got really small overall, and my boobs basically disappeared with it.
i started birth control at 23 and my boobs went back to about what they were before the weight loss. nothing crazy, just back to normal for me.
but now i’m 26 and i switched birth control pills recently and also gained some weight… and suddenly my boobs are huge compared to what they’ve always been. like noticeably bigger in photos and my bra size went up.
i know boobs can change from weight gain, hormones, birth control, and even just getting older in your mid-20s. but now i’m wondering:
if i switch birth control brands again, and/or if i lose weight, is it likely my boobs will shrink again? or stay the same?
i’m planning to change my birth control and also want to lose some weight, but i’m honestly hesitant because i love the new boobs lol. just curious if anyone else had bigger boobs from birth control or weight gain and whether they stayed or went away when things changed… lemme know ur experiences!!
I was just having this discussion with a small boobed friend, my two worst were
- Almost knocking myself out trying to put on a sports bra and punching myself in the face so hard I saw stars
-Giving myself a fat lip laying down because my phone was on my bra and fell out and knocked into my lip and catching my lip into my bottom teeth
Bring em on, let's laugh!
i cant see myself as someone pretty.....
if i had smaller and perkier boobs i would be more aesthetically pleasing to look at
i have no idea how to love my boobs or my body
I honestly just need to rant about this with other women who can understand the struggle, because it feels like people can become so fucking condescending when you try to talk about this. Like wow, I had NO idea that men love big breasts and that women get implants, I guess I've got nothing to worry about now 🥰 They dont even consider that maybe I'm not constantly thinking about being the most fuckable version of myself for men, but whatever.
Everytime I think about going shopping, actually trying to develop my personal sense of style, I get hit with the reality that none of these clothes look on me the way I want them to. All of my style inspo are almost exclusively things that will just make my chest look even bigger than it already is.
There are days where I come home from uni, look in the mirror, and realize just how big my breasts look in my clothes, and it just kills me. They draw so much attention that I never asked for.
I've personally never been comfortable showing too much skin, but every single piece of advice for big chests is to wear V-necks, and not try to cover them up all the time.
I've had surgery on my mind for about a year now but that's not something I'm ready to do right now for a variety of reasons, so now I feel like I'm stuck in this hell for however long :")
I am a 32H(UK)/32K(US). I know damn well they don’t carry anything close to it, What size do you think they’ll give me?
Hey everyone! I’ve considered getting a breast reduction over the past year as my chest has gotten heavy, annoying, and sags (34H) as i’m sure you all relate to. I want to go to a consultation appointment just to see what it would be like, if it would be covered, and have some questions answered.
Does anyone know of any surgeons in the Long Island/NYC area they’d recommend or know where to look to learn what’s available?
I haven't seen some of my family from another state in a while and along came were my aunts who haven't seen me since I was 13, well I'm now 18 and recently saw them and i didn't wear anything that scandalous but I can't really hide my chest unless I wear a fluffy jacket well it was pretty nice outside and I wanted to enjoy the day and fresh weather so I wore a a simple shirt that showed no cleavage, since my mom wanted to be modest and she’s strict on what I wear - First thing my aunts asked was "did you get surgery" and I was confused at first and I asked "surgery of what ?" And that's when they said "did you get a boob job " I said no, and they didn’t believe me and my mom somewhat defended me saying that it would be silly to spend money for procedures like that. Throughout the day - they seemed to whisper at each other while looking at me throughout the night and gave me nasty side eyes and never talked to me until we said good bye and one of them strangely hugged me tighter than usual - I've been questioning if they know that puberty is even a thing? Wtf , seriously sometime puberty can hit people like a Damn bus 😭
Hi everyone, how to you deal with underboob sweat? I sweat a lot which makes it prone for odour. Recommendations would be appreciated.
I know I can import shit from Marks & Spencer. I know I can order international clothing brands and find ways to ship to bumblefuck USA.
But what I’m specifically looking for is a social media Media guru with some valid fashion links that can show me what clothes might be big boob friendly in my size range. Im not plus sized or even mid sized by some standards but im also not super thin. Im in the slightly floofy part of normal weight/big bazungas club. When I was a bit heavier postpartum, I had good luck with some mid-sized influencers but now that I’ve lost a little weight, it’s becoming clear that I need a little more guidance on the fashion front.
tldr: Has anyone in the UK found a non wired bra for larger cup/smaller back boobs which offers enough support for day time use, doesn't push the boobs together and doesn't cut into skin at any point, or am I just a fantasist? I've seen online ads for bras that claim to be suitable but I am very sceptical of social media ads.
I have a large cup size and a relatively small back size and I struggle, as I'm sure we all do here, to find bras that fit. Specifically, ones that fit without leaving me red and sore in one place or another.
The only in person store I have access to and carries bras my size is Bravissimo (sometimes M&S will have something but 2 separate times I went and they tried to send me home in something clearly too small). It's where I've always gone and I really like their styles but as my whole body has got larger (and maybe motherhood has had an effect) I'm finding their wired bras increasingly uncomfortable. I constantly have a sore, dry patch where the wire sits on the bottom, to the point that I sometimes want to cry, and I struggle to make one last a year.
I wear non wired bras to bed and they are SO much more comfortable but the ones I have aren't suitable for full time use as a) my boobs sit like an inch too low and b) they push my boobs together. I'm having to wear them all day ATM as my wired bra has fallen apart and I'm worried it's only a matter of time until I get some kind of fungus infection.
Ive not completely ruled wired bras out but I'm just sick of the pain and frequent breakage.
I’m non-binary, short, my chest is large (40H/38I), I can’t afford surgery at the moment, and I have sensory issues so I can’t tolerate binding.
I’m looking for something more gender neutral to wear so I can enjoy swimming again without feeling so dysphoric about my chest.
I would rather not wear a shirt if possible over something. Some tankinis tend to ride up.
Any recs?
I really want a relaxed fit t-shirt that is a slimmer fit without being tight. A relaxed baby tee kind of style where it skims against the body. I'm a 30G but wear a size xs/s and have a petite frame, for example the Gilden youth small t-shirt fits perfectly for what I want, just not in the chest. I don't like how the chest of t-shirts pull down and distorts from the armpit area over my boobs, overall making my look frumpy. But if I adjust the shirt so it doesn't it just bunches a lot above my boobs and I still look like my boobs are my whole upper body. If I go up in shirt size it's way to big in my waist and shoulders. Any recs?
hi I have an off the shoulder dress I want to wear and I was just wondering if anyone has some good supportive off the shoulder bra suggestions they recommend for it
thanks!
Do any of you randomly get a wet feeling, chill feeling, or almost a “milk let-down” sensation in your boobs or nipple — but when you check, there’s absolutely no wetness, no discharge, nothing at all?
I stopped breastfeeding about 8 months ago, so there shouldn’t be any active milk or anything left. But I still get this sensation pretty often. It genuinely feels like something is happening — like a cold drop or a let-down reflex — but there’s nothing there when I look.
It sometimes happens more when I lie on one side, but it can also just come randomly. No visible changes, no leakage, no redness.
Google and Reddit threads about breast symptoms honestly scare me, so I’m trying not to spiral. I just want to know — is this something other women experience? Is it a nerve/hormone thing? A phantom sensation after breastfeeding?
It has become almost a daily thing. I get to work, look myself in the mirror and proceed to hate myself for the way my clothes makes me feel.
If it isn't that clothes make me look innappropiate for the way they make my chest look, then it's because they make me look like a bag of potatoes. There's literally no in between!! It makes me so mad that I can't have a day where I can look and feel good.
The worst part of this all is that I see my other female coworkers who have a similar breast size as me wear super cute clothes that fit them just perfectly, while mine are a bunch of long shirts that look like they all came from the male section at stores since they're straight as a ruler, with no waist or chest cuts/measurements. When I go ask them where did they buy their clothes, they always tell me that they bought their clothes in the back then in the 2000s in stores that don't even exist here anymore. Why are all current clothes so horribly made?! Can I have a SINGLE shirt that doesn't make me look like shit?!
Then I have been told to get a seamstress, but the prices I have seen for the ones near me are far from my budget.
I'm writing this as I silently cry in my desk at work, so if I made any spelling mistakes or if anything I said doesn't make much sense, I'm so sorry. Does anyone else feel like this? :(
Tbh just curious cause I already know I have big boobs but I’m just curious if I’m like lowkey packing and have irregularly big boobs. Idk if this is like a common thing or not. I’m 18 btw going to college soon and I told my mom, she said I should get a breast reduction
I'm in the process of renewing my passport. For longwinded and uninteresting reasons, I need to do this in person. I decided to get a passport photo in the passport office (they have a little booth). It took FOUR tries, the first three of which the computer claimed I was leaning forward. I was not - it seemed to be misread my bust as not sitting up straight with my back to the wall.
I have the picture now, but it was so frustrating that this machine (clearly designed by/for men) couldn't clock that a busty body was literally following instructions.
Hi! I'm looking for recommendations for the best minimizer. STRONG support. Size 34E. Thank you!
Hello girls, I have very saggy boobs. Im 23 years old and I want to loose weight. Like 20 kg. But my boobs making me so sad. This month a want to have sex with this guy and he asked me to take off my bra. Im was panicking. I told him only with lights off. Then he stars touching them and asked me why I dont want him to see them. So instead of having sex i was crying like little girl. Im so upset about them. I dont want to have saggy boobs and big areolas. I want the plastic surgery but dont have the money yet. Do you have any tips? Creams? Vitamins? Exercice? Anything? I saw a tiktok about gopure neck cream (or something) have u tried it? Thank youuu
I’m probably a 34D in American size according to the bra stores (VS, skims) and the people in this sub told me that it's not considered a big size. So all my back pain, bad posture, and everything I have to deal with daily (only wearing clothes that are tight around the chest because I can't go without a bra, or always needing to wear a bra, men always sexualizing) are invalid? I don't understand when someone with this size or smaller, a little bigger posts here and people say it's not a large chest. I think it’s? And it weighs a lot. Obviously, there are larger breasts, there will always be someone with larger breasts, but it weighs a lot. The more weight I lose, the more back pain I seem to have too
Does anyone have recommendations for bras with wide straps? I am size 36J (GG European)
Has anyone tried the athletic dresses from Her Universe? They always look so cute, and since they're having a sale on all their Disney and Marvel stuff, I figured I'd take a look more closely, and that's when I found they have the dreaded "built-in bra," which I'm sure everyone here knows is code for "a piece of elastic for flat-chested girlies to feel like they have boobies." Anyway, I haven't done it in ages, but back in the day when I had college student money and less access to good quality stuff in my size, I used to take fabric scissors and just cut out shelf bras, though it of course depends on the overall garment's lining, design, etc.
So I was wondering...does anyone with a small band, large cup have experience with Her Universe brand and maybe doing such franken-fitting? Is it worth trying while the dresses are on sale?
got recommended here via a post on another sub- found this place perfect to let out this particular rant.
So, I'm a fat woman, a fat woman with a chest proportionally larger than the rest of my body. this alone has gotten me lots of weird comments (mostly from older women oddly) and whenever I complain about these comments I'm told to "be grateful" because a woman with a flat chest would kill to be in my position.
grateful.
why the fuck should I feel grateful for comments about how maternal i look (I'm only 18 for christs sake!), why should I feel grateful for constant backpain, why should I feel grateful for struggling to find my bra size in stores, why should I feel grateful for not being able to wear anything that shows cleavage without getting weird looks???????
it drives me up the wall honestly, I know the people giving me these "compliments" probably don't know any better but still. frankly, these types of comments made me hold a kind of animosity and jealousy towards women with smaller chests I only got over recently.
I hope someone can relate. idk.
(Also i do apologise for this coming off as dramatic I kind of just rant like that...)
I'm a jeans and plain black t shirt kind of girl, I don't want skin tight fit but I don't want oversized or baggy all the time... any brand recommendations??
I’ve lost 21 kg so far, and it’s been amazing, except now my bras just don’t fit properly anymore. I’m still in the middle of losing more weight, but I need 2–3 bras that will work for now while my body continues to change.
A few things that might help with suggestions:
• I live in Australia so finding “niche” sizes in stores is basically impossible here, so most of the bras I already own are from online places like Bra Stop.
• I’m looking for affordable options (I don’t want to spend a fortune right now).
• Comfort and support are a priority, especially since my shape seems to be shifting as I continue losing weight.
• I don’t mind online ordering, just want something that won’t immediately be useless after a few weeks.
Does anyone have good bras they’ve used during weight loss, especially ones that are somewhat forgiving with size changes? Any brands, styles, or specific fits that have worked for you would be so appreciated!
I am super curious about merino wool sports bras. I like to go camping in the backcountry and would love to be able to bring a merino wool sports bra that will still be supportive and not hurt my shoulders.
Are there any brands people have tried and liked?
Or any other methods if you know of them
The thing is i need to look professional at times, i usually wear baggy hoodies and band tshirts but as i've grown older i need to dress a bit more grown up especially bc i might be getting my first grown up job. If i wear something more formfitting my chest sticks out too much even with no cleavage showing and it is the FIRST THING people see. If a wear comfy baggy stuff it makes me look like a gen z brat and none takes me seriously. I feel like im stuck between two extemes bc of my body. Style advice?? My body is quite feminine but my personality is not lol but i'd still like to look and feel a bit more put together. Any help style, brand or experience wise is welcome!! Thank you!!
I do NOT like cleavage. but I love wearing fancy dresses that I can’t wear a sports bra with. is there a way to tape my boobs down so I don’t get stuck at formals constantly tucking my boobs in? I don’t mind having some boob shape, but I just want to vanquish the cleavage
