I'm actively working to oppose age verification laws sweeping across the USA at the state and federal level. I've had meetings with state level politicians in California already, and I plan on having more.

At first, the "Think of the Children" Karens demanded ID uploads for the porn sites. I ignored it because I could get around it with a VPN.

Then, they came for app stores, and the various state level "App Store Accountability App" implementations, but they were ruled unconstitutional in the courts.

Then, California came for operating systems. They wanted age verification to be built into the operating system, including Linux. Now I'm officially mad. The government needs to get the hell out of my Arch Linux box!

Something snapped in me when that happened. I decided to get politically involved and volunteer my time to help fight this. But I've been able to find no meaningful organized opposition that I could join, so I've been doing it alone in a vacuum.

Well, it's time I organize the opposition. I need help. Organizing meetings with elected representatives is getting to be too much work to do on my own in my spare time between my job and my family, and I need help. I've created a space on Matrix for people who want to work this with me.

I'm not interested in engaging with people who have already given into defeatism. Stand up and fight! Join me on Matrix. DM me and I'll invite you. I only want people that are serious about organizing opposition to this crap, and are willing to donate their free time to meeting politicians, help me organize protests, etc.

I won't give up my freedoms without a fight!

Didn't someone find out this whole thing was astroturfed by Meta so they wouldn't have to pay mere millions in COPPA fines quarterly

You can't do shit. The age verification and ID scanning is not up to debate.

Ok, groomer.
>>
>>108373778 (OP)
My plan is simple, I won't comply. Anything that requires age verification, digital ID, biometric bullshit, I just blacklist them. I mean the way the tech world is heading they're basically turning me into the tech equivalent of being Amish.

Personally, I think you're wasting your fucking time because they aren't going to stop injecting it everywhere incrementally, and quite frankly, people are too fucking retarded to even notice or care.

Say the epstenite
>>
>>108373828
Okay, but how do you reply without sounding mad? You can fight against age verification all you want, that one question dismantles your whole movement.
>>
>>108373839
It's not about age verification and it will not do anything to stop underage people from meeting groomers and they know it.
It's about ending anonymity, and you know it.
>>
>>108373843
Of course I fucking know it. But try telling that to any normalfag? He'll just go "ok, pedo" and all your arguments are done. End of discussion right then and there and you lost. I'm not for age verification, I'm just throwing the one obvious argument you'll face outside of /g/ so you can tell me what is the answer we can beat it with. And you have none.

we need to put it into child abuse laws, you wouldn't leave your kid in the park alone and with tons of strangers around, so why is it not child abandonment to give a child unfettered access to an internet connected device?
>>
>>108373870
Yeah, I can work with that in the real world with a normalfag. Not sure if it's the best option but it's good enough for me rn. Thanks.
>>

The decision was already made

The whole thing is sponsored by zuckerberg to avoid fines. Can't imagine how rock hard indians are for all the data leaks that will happen within an hour of this shit going live. Get ready to have to defend from creditberg why you did not buy 21 RVs, a warehouse of big screen TVs, and every google play card under the sun. Hope zuck the cuck is the first hit.

>I'm actively working to oppose age verification laws sweeping across the USA
Why? You aren't going to be able to stop it. Opt out of their product/ecosystem. Pirate everything, never buy new tech only second hand. Do anything and everything to hand over as little money as possible.

i was looking at hentai and porn at age 10, and 4chan /b/ at around age 11 (2006), and i turned out fine

i really don't understand why westerners are so puritan and strict over this shit, like they're shielding their offspring from something they'll inevitably see
>>
you're a fucking idiot if you don't believe these restrictions are essential to rearing the next generation. it should be illegal for anyone under 18 to have internet access period. almost 3 generations now are completely fucked in the head because of rapid information exposure.

furries, trannies and everything else is because of the internet. Remove the youth from it and it all ceases to exist.

I saw a gang bang at like 14 and that distorted my view of things for a little bit. It’s probably done some long term harm to me but I think my somewhat dysfunctional relationship with my parents has done more harm than the bjs and such I watched as a teenager.
>>
>>108373778 (OP)
Nah, age verification will happen unless heads start rolling

>furries, trannies and everything else is because of the internet.
not true. we talked shit about furfags, trannies etc. all the time on /b/ (when i was 11)

the reason why have trannies is for two reasons.
1). pic related creates the FtMs from impressionable retarded girls
2). MtF trannies used to be seen as transvestite psychos, but now Obama and later governments have made their thing into a civil rights movement. then you have the changed dating landscape since smartphones & tinder pushing nerds into trannyism since no woman will ever sleep with them (without getting paid a lot).

Fair to say kids process things differently based on their upbringing and such? I mainly just thought it was intense as a kid and couldn’t believe it was some sort of professional production with music and such. I didn’t know how sex worked or even what sperm was. I was a bit of a late bloomer
>>
>>108374421
Age verification is not going to stop kids from accessing filtered content
>>
>>108373778 (OP)
>They wanted age verification to be built into the operating system
Funny thing about this is that it will make tracking children online a breeze for any bad actors. Their age bracket will be automatically sent to any app or website that requests it, including malicious ones ran by groomers.
Seems more harmful than helpful to me.

Based
Don't listen to the naysayers. It's insane to have to dox yourself to even install an operating system on the device you paid for. It's some 1984 shit. Fuck California (and the other states that are now implementing similar laws).
>>
>>108373778 (OP)
EFF finally broke their silence about California A.B.1043, but it was more informational than a call to action. I don't remember them talking about it at all before now, so the window to actually talk to legislators is basically long gone. The next best thing is to take it to court, but I have my doubts there'll be anything substantial until after the bill goes into effect.

first learn to read loser, those federal papers, otherwise you just tear your pants at the butt on those conferences and eat donuts aimlessly.

No internet for you. How do you plan on being a function member of society, or supporting yourself or your family?
>>
>>108373778 (OP)
unironically good luck OP
>>108375433
soon you won't get access to any internet protocols, established or not, because ISP won't let you in without age verification. that's where it's heading.
>>
>>108373852
>try telling that to any normalfag
If they are already addicted to socials and use chatgpt daily, it is incredibly difficult to rationalize with them. I generally try to get the ball rolling with criticism of tech companies but if I get that scroller stare then I know the conversation is over.
