In 1939, a group of American Jews needed to rescue their rabbi from Nazi-occupied Warsaw. To do it, they got the head of German military intelligence to dispatch his own Nazi soldiers to find him.The Nazis said yes. This is a story about why that makes perfect sense. 🧵

The people who arranged that rescue didn't call each other. They didn't have a plan. Many had never met.But they shared the same story about how the world ends — and that story told every single one of them exactly what to do.That mechanism is running right now. In this war. At a scale nobody is talking about.

A professor I've been following called this the most powerful coordination mechanism in human history. He's been teaching this framework for years and his predictions keep turning out correct. He introduces something called the universal law of winning.Three things determine who wins any game:Mass — how many people are on your side. Energy — how motivated they are. Coordination — how well they work together.Coordination is 4x more important than the other two combined.

Here's why coordination is so powerful.A leader dies and the movement dies with him.Family loyalty fractures the moment cousins disagree. But a shared story? A shared story outlives everyone who believes in it. It tells each person exactly what role to play without anyone giving orders. No group chat. No commander. Just the script.

Watch how this plays out in real time.A US Senator came out of a White House war briefing and said three things publicly:No budget for this war. It's open-ended. Ground troops are coming. Russia is already actively helping Iran.15 years in the Senate. He called it the most unsatisfying briefing of his career.

Then NBC asked Iran's foreign minister: are you afraid of a US ground invasion? He said: no. We're waiting for them. The journalist asked again. Visibly confused. Are you actually saying you want them to come?Iran said yes. We've been preparing for 20 years. The journalist went silent.

Here's what Prof Jiang's game theory analysis says is actually happening. The US wants to destroy Iran. But Israel, Saudi Arabia, and Iran — three supposed enemies with completely different goals — all benefit from the same outcome.Dragging America into a ground war it cannot win.Different scripts. Same move.

Why does a long ground war benefit all three?Iran: bleeds American military capacity. Gains control of the Gulf. Saudi Arabia: destroys Iran AND weakens America in one war. Becomes the last man standing. Israel: America loses political will for foreign wars. Israel becomes the sole power in the Middle East. They don't coordinate. They don't need to. The math just works out.

Now here's where it gets uncomfortable.Prof Jiang says you cannot fully explain this war through geopolitics alone.Because purely from a strategic standpoint — this war makes no sense for America to start. The real explanation, he argues, goes deeper. Into something called eschatological convergence.

Eschatology is just: how does your tradition believe the world ends?Every major religion has a version. And when you line them up — Jewish, Islamic, Christian Zionist, Orthodox Christian, Catholic, Zoroastrian — the convergence points are not subtle.A final war. A holy site. The collapse of the dominant empire. A new order.

The Catholic Church ran Europe for 500 years with no army large enough to conquer every kingdom. No single leader giving orders across dozens of languages to millions of people.Just a shared story. And everyone knew their role. Now imagine six versions of that story — pointing at the same moment in history. That's what Prof Jiang says is converging right now.

He made three predictions at the start of this series.Said if even one is wrong, his entire model fails.Prediction 1: US will send ground troops. The senator just confirmed this path. Prediction 2: No nuclear weapons. Escalation ladder says we're not there yet. Prediction 3: The Al-Aqsa Mosque — third holiest site in Islam — will be destroyed in this war.

The third prediction is the one that made me stop the lecture. Certain extreme factions believe a third temple must be built on that same site.In the eschatological convergence model — this event appears across multiple religious scripts as something that needs to happen before what comes next. The game theory angle: if enough powerful people believe this is inevitable, they start acting like it is.And then it becomes inevitable.

This is where I have to be straight with you. This is the lecture where I paused halfway through. Not because it's wrong. Because it's a lot.Prof Jiang goes deep into religious territory that's easy to dismiss as conspiracy if you're not following the logic carefully. But the core mechanism — shared stories coordinating mass behavior without anyone giving orders — I've seen that idea proven too many times to ignore it.

You don't have to believe any of these traditions are true for the theory to hold. You just have to accept that billions of people DO believe them. And that belief shapes decisions. Military strategy. Which sites get protected. Which wars get started. Which empires get sacrificed. That's not conspiracy. That's coordination at a scale most people never think about.

Here's what I keep coming back to.The Philippines doesn't appear in any of these scripts. Not the Islamic one. Not the Jewish one. Not the Christian Zionist one. Not the Russian Orthodox one.We are not part of anyone's plan. And when empires collapse and new orders form — the countries with no seat at the table absorb the consequences without any say in the outcome.Higher prices. Weaker peso. Disrupted shipping. Decisions made in rooms we're not in.

Prof Jiang calls this the Law of Eschatological Convergence.Heaviest lecture in the series. I watched it twice. If you want to understand why this war feels different from every other conflict in your lifetime — this is the lecture.Search "Predictive History" on YouTube. Game Theory #12.What part do you want me to go deeper on?
