Not only, lots of people really think that someone owes something to them, to these random people. I guess parents telling kids that they are special went too far. But it's concerning that someone is unable to move on after eight years and trying to rebuke others for doing it.
Unrelated to Linkin Park but when Diogo Jota (Liverpool footballer) died a few weeks ago, Mo Salah didnt post anything to instagram for the first couple of days and was accussed by neckbeards, mouth breathers and wankers that he didnt care for his teammate.
People grieve differently. Fuck this pressure to post on social media.
The conspiracies with him are even wilder. I wish I didn't stumble upon the people who think Mike killed Chester because he was jealous. Or even worse the Epstein allegations... they make me so uneasy.
People who claim to be "real Linkin Park fans" have been on a path of turning Mike into a greedy villain for no reason at all beyond bringing Linkin Park back, and on that, they even ignore that Joe, Brad, and Dave are also involved. Then there's the whole "Chester didn't make it" nonsense. Zero evidence, zero anything but no. According to them, there's a whole story about celebrities making up a documentary that would expose pedos, none of them doc or film producers at all or envolved with the subject, but no, they were all on the same. People have been losing sense of reality for a good while... And beyond anything, it's highly disrespectful to the names mentioned on it.
some of the worst comments over LP's return, Emily, Mike, and July 20th (and the supposed 'should be done' posts) has been made by "true LP fans"... The same ones who say "LP without Chester ain't LP" and "they should have kept on hiatus".
It’s a very mature take on grief. We all grieve differently. I was a rock for 2 weeks after my mom passed, and on a random day, the dam broke and I just bawled, wailed, and grieved over her passing.
Sounds like Anna paid attention to the lessons in the therapy room.
grief does not have to be shown publicly to be valid. none of them owe us their voices on it, but instead owe themselves the grace to be able to grieve in peace without being held by strangers' expectations. i cannot imagine how draining it is.
remember when grief used to be respected as a private emotional thing... stop policing what people choose to do with their emotions! that interviewer is a serious asshole.
People who act entitle to others grief need to take a hard look at themselves. It's personal. Some decide to make their loss, and how it impacted them known. Others prefer a quiet, private moment to themselves. There's nothing wrong with either, and no one gets to decide that for others.
I find it interesting that the man that was his best friend for right at two decades, spent countless hours, days, weeks in the studio, on tour buses, shared a stage with and probably just hanging out - that he has been able to move past Chester’s death better than some fans who want to give him shit for not moving on with his life.
Mike has been more than open in multiple interviews and shared his feelings and his pain, grief and mourning through his art over and over and over since his passing.
For “fans” calling him out for him wanting or choosing - whatever the case was - not to put a statement out to the world on the anniversary of his passing is immature and quite frankly just a trash take.
I’d also guess more of these same people than not have never lost anyone close to them and has no clue about grief or the grieving process.
I had a cousin who died when she was 12 years old. I can talk about my other family members who passed, including my brother, and have discussions with my other family members on all of their birth dates and death dates, except for anything involving my cousin. It’s been over a decade and I still rarely talk about her, because it’s so goddamn painful to me to bring her up. My not talking about her doesn’t mean I grieve less, for me, I grieve more for her than anyone else. I’m not saying Mike has the same grief I have, but it’s not right to judge him, or others, about how they deal with a loss. Shit, my father just had to put one of our dogs to sleep today, my brothers have been hysterical all day, and my sister has been calm and trying to console them. People deal in different ways, it doesn’t mean they’re not dealing.
The man made an entire album about the grief and pain of losing his friend. Everyone chooses to deal with that day how they’d like to, just because he didn’t post anything doesn’t mean anything
It’s sad they are judging Mike when he’s said that he doesn’t post about it bc it’s not a day that he wants to celebrate. It’s a horrible day for him he’s probably just really sad that day 😞
It’s annoying that “fans” feel so entitled about the whole thing in needing Mike to say something at all. Everyone grieves in their own way personally and doesn’t have to always post about it online.
Plus Mike literally has said that he doesn’t want his death date to be remembered as an event. He just wants his birthday, albums anniversaries, and all the moments that they had with him.
The world today is wild, if something isn’t posted onsocial media , people assume you don’t care

We all need to touch grass once in this life
claiming thatmike forgot about chester cuz he didn't post anything on social media is so stupid man, i swear to god
The conspiracies with him are even wilder. I wish I didn't stumble upon the people who think Mike killed Chester because he was jealous. Or even worse theEpstein allegations ... they make me so uneasy.
Pretty sure Jaime Bennington is pushing both of those ideas, which is sad to see.

It’s such an insulting insinuation. How could he ever forget
That fan is a total prick. Wtf?
Doubt it’s a fan

Love her for this. So simple yet so powerful❤

When Matt Perry died the same nonsense was spouted on SM about the rest of the cast
People need to go touch grass.
I’m so sick of people acting like social media is a justifiable barometer for anything at all.
Mike said many times before in interviews as well that he wants to celebrate his birthday and life, not his death.
Social media and it’s consequences have been a disaster for the human race
remember when grief used to be respected as a private emotional thing... stop policing what people choose to do with their emotions! that interviewer is a serious asshole.
And if he would post this year I'm pretty sure some people would still twist it and go with the "he posted only to promote LP 2.0" trash. Heh
Yes, I'm sure Mike, one of the people who knew Chester the most, clearly forgot about him. Smh. People are so rude.

Mike literally said in an interview that he doesn't want people to see Chester's death date as an event. People are so dumb.
Sometimes I'm glad I'm not famous
When did grieving on social media become a requirement? Such a shame.

99% of fans understand Mike. I hope he knows that. Let’s not let that 1% making such comments louder.

God some people need to get a fucking life .

they don't need to post every last ounce of their experiences on social media, if they just want to remember it alone thats completely fine
