Any word on why there is a delay? Application system issues? Funding problems? Staffing issues? It's a bit frustrating as we've been in a holding pattern on some family activities for Spring/Summer and anxiously awaiting for Feb 24, only to find out it's delayed with no new ETA dates.
The draw pre-pandemic has always been in late March - early April. Calm down, they'll get to it when they do.

Maybe they’re waiting to see more applications come in. The more applicants they have, the more government funding they can receive. Of course, that also means the chances of being selected become smaller.

This is highly misinformed. The Explore program has always had a surplus of bursaries, especially post-pandemic in the 18+ groups. It's the reason why so many previous Explore sessions don't exist anymore because there wasn't a high enough demand for the places.
If people considered going elsewhere besides Québec, they'd double their chances of getting a bursary. I've done Explore 5 times, worked as an animateur twice, and I can tell you, I've always gotten a bursary.
I've also applied for 2 other years, and I wasn't ablw to do it, because of other opportunities. So, if I can get the bursary 7 times, anyone can get it. And YES, I went to places outside of Québec and am currently doing my teacher's education in French (meaning my French still improved outside of Québec).
That's the problem. We applied to learn English outside of Quebec (ages 13-15).
What are the requirements for animateur?
that you speak the target language fluently essentially. Everything else is about personality.
I need to submit my course selection by Friday 😭 if I didn't get into the program I wanted I would just take co op this summer but now I'll probably have to submit it praying I get selected 🙁
I wonder if it’s related to government budget cuts…. Cutting program funding?
