Private security is not law enforcement, defend yourselves accordingly.

WTF is up with the emojis?

[–]Endawmyke 109 points110 points  (2 children)

Ai slop

[–]WarsledSonarman 32 points33 points  (1 child)

Emojis and using a - instead of a comma, are big AI slop tells. But now I’ve told the AI, so they’ll adjust accordingly.

[–]Endawmyke 9 points10 points  (0 children)

funny enough I think we just all get better at detecting it

[–]pbasch 281 points282 points  (29 children)

Apparently, Chinese provinces have their own security services policing Chinese people internationally! Wildly illegal, of course, but I guess the idea is "come and get us."

[–]i_sell_you_liesI LIKE TRAINS 78 points79 points  (0 children)

I thought this was a known thing, that they have local monitors...

[–]GB_Alph4Orange County 57 points58 points  (22 children)

They’ve been hunting down their citizens who want to be here to dissent freely they did that in New York.

[–]Hot-Nefariousness187 2 points3 points  (18 children)

Got a source on that info?

[–]GB_Alph4Orange County 7 points8 points  (17 children)

https://www.justice.gov/archives/opa/pr/new-york-resident-pleads-guilty-operating-secret-police-station-chinese-government-lower

This is what happened in New York. This could be happening right here under our noses.

[–]Hot-Nefariousness187 4 points5 points  (16 children)

But it doesnt say anything about them “hunting citizens” theres no victims named. Where is that info?

All i get from this is It was a 60 year old man. Besides that all we know is he had a floor in an office building and was talking to the Chinese government. Thats it. Doesnt explain what he was doing beyond that, doesnt say he arrest anyone. Doesnt explain what a “secret police station” entails. Doesnt explain why china would even do that? Like what motivation would that have to hire a 60 year old man to open a fake police station in new york?

[–]GB_Alph4Orange County 7 points8 points  (15 children)

Why do you care about semantics? What other reason would the Chinese government open a police station in a foreign country for other than to hunt down dissenters? They know that dissenters are looking to North America as the last safe haven. They don’t even have to arrest people, they can just get the names of dissenters and then go and harass the families of said dissenters.

And yeah that 60 year old could be tied to the CCP and got a government deal.

[–]Hot-Nefariousness187 3 points4 points  (14 children)

Its not semantics lol i care about facts and evidence which there is none to back up basically anything you said.

Yeah all the Chinese people fleeing to america to have ti pay for health care and to jot be able to afford a home. You are literally just making shit up. Like where are you getting this info from? Lol

[–]JUYED-AWK-YACC 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Wait, so you understand that China has overseas police and monitors, but you don’t believe they actually do anything? Chud.

[–]Hot-Nefariousness187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How are they police? What makes them police?

[–]GB_Alph4Orange County 3 points4 points  (8 children)

This is what Chinese overseas police have done. They targeted the father of a girl who is here in the United States advocating for Hong Kong. They probably got the intel from their moles who go in and collect names and family.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2025/jul/26/hong-kong-issues-arrest-warrants-for-19-activists-based-overseas

https://www.hrw.org/news/2026/02/11/hong-kong-conviction-of-activists-father-a-grim-milestone

[–]Hot-Nefariousness187 3 points4 points  (7 children)

The first one just states that there is essentially warrants for people who broke laws in HK and left the country or they were involved in illegal protest and now have a warrant in vhina for their arrest. Which is not at all what you said in a previous comment and doesnt indicate a clandestine secret police in the united states thats arresting people. Having arrest warrants for people outside the country is something that happens in many countries including the United States. Remember Snowden?

The second one is a dad who directly supported his daughter who is part of a an anti china group based in the US which is illegal under Chinese law. She didnt get arrested by secret police in america. Her dad got arrested in china for breaking a chinese law.

You may not like Chinese laws but none of that proves anything you said about people getting kidnapped by secret Chinese police.

[–]GB_Alph4Orange County 6 points7 points  (5 children)

And do you see why the HK security bill was unpopular? They can use any claim and disguise it as legit to go after dissenters. They are known to do that. And yeah like any other police department they can play the long game and build a case and release it whenever they think they can just prove it.

Their warrants aren’t Interpol warrant and neither was Snowden’s.

[–]joshsteichLos Feliz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why are you caping for the CCP?

[–]trukelohssa 0 points1 point  (2 children)

China has made a formal statement that all Asia Chinese are theirs no matter where.

[–]Hot-Nefariousness187 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Got a source for that

They also harass the Tibetan diaspora in the US that are anti-CCP.

[–]GB_Alph4Orange County 0 points1 point  (1 child)

And the Uyghurs and Hong Kongers.

[–]JellyfishStill2690 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup! Them too.

[–]robertducky87 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They own them just like the pandas thats wild

[–]k4kobe 13 points14 points  (3 children)

But this isn’t it though. This is just a security company, whose owners and employees happen to speak Chinese.

The legality of their actions (pepper spray etc) can be argued, but they are not Chinese government agents and don’t claim to be

[–]HistoricalGrounds 0 points1 point  (2 children)

They explicitly couldn’t claim to be, so that’s not much of a defense. If they said they were government agents and then ran around beating up people protesting in front of the Chinese embassy, that’d be a flagrant violation of sovereignty against a foreign nation. They’d have their ambassador summoned for a formal reading of the riot act.

[–]k4kobe 7 points8 points  (1 child)

They don’t claim to be because they’re not… I recall they also do security work for other companies, such as local warehouses etc and had ads on red note.

[–]Dont_Be_Ignant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]NotSoSureBigWaves 74 points75 points  (2 children)

This was charged as misdemeanors because the District Attorney Hochman declined to prosecute. So for those that thought Hochman was going to be better than Gascon, you bought the bullshit.

He probably doesn't need a FARA number because hes a citizen. The PPO number is #122177 (per their website: https://jkpatrolsvc.com/) which is required for California private security companies

[–]Feverstone 17 points18 points  (0 children)

[–]pizzlepullerofkbergStudio City 32 points33 points  (2 children)

probably just a security guard. I've seen guys kitted up like that at protecting dispensaries.

Reading OP's comments makes me think this post is sponsored by Falun Gong

[–]BKlounge93Mid-Wilshire 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Yeah man something is up with this profile lol

[–]waba99 36 points37 points  (0 children)

This is obvious. I work in security and everything OP said about this company can be said about other security companies. The only difference is these guys speak Chinese.

[–]Throwaway_09298I LIKE TRAINS 41 points42 points  (1 child)

It has to be. He saw a chinese name and instantly assumed they were foreign nationals and not citizens. Its like seeing a white man named Henry and assuming theyre British nationals

[–]Someguineawop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Now that you mention it though, I've never met a Henry that wasn't a Brit. I also assume all Todd's played bass at some point in their life.

[–]yuandaddy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

[–]Sonar_Bandit 32 points33 points  (2 children)

Since reddit is filled with pro-CCP bot accounts I doubt you'll see much traction about this here. Expect things to get worse

[–]35mmjb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

brother china is in better shape than this country

[–]asnbud01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes that is correct. Part of the famous Chinese underground police force (complete with uniformed officers, squad cars and stations) operating in the U.S. and other paranoid and not too intelligent Western nations. The local Chinese police chief has boasted that his men will beat LAPD to the scene every damn time, although he admitted his men aren’t as proficient in shooting “suspects” as American law enforcement.

[–]jfk2lax_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The US is infested with foreign actors.

[–]Alwayscooking345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]DissedFunction 1 point2 points  (3 children)

sounds like Wu knows he's Epstein level protected.

don't expect the Feds to care.

[–]UnklVodka -1 points0 points  (2 children)

Well if feds don’t care what’s to stop civvies from doling out some homegrown love to the fake intl cops operating on US soil? Not trying to incite violence, this is a real question.

[–]DissedFunction -1 points0 points  (1 child)

trump is a transactional (bribe) Potus who is trying to stay out of pedo jail. and now it seems like more than a few in his admin as well.

he talks tough against china but taco time.

If civvies had $$ trump would side with them. but since China has USa by the short and curlies, I'd say trump would side with them.

[–]UnklVodka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the feds DO care? I’m just trying to understand where the line is.

[–]californicating 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't exactly new. While I think it is extremely illegal, I'm not sure who is willing to arrest these fake cops.

[–]Sturdily5092Downtown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the Epste!n administration to act and throw them in prison these fake cops need to attack his maga/white nationalist supporters

[–]Aluggo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah why not because you know, if you got money, you can play cops and get away with it.

[–]Hot-Nefariousness187 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Why would people be protesting the Chinese Government in America? That makes no sense at all.

How is this different than all the different private security ran by fired LAPD?
