Shadow Clone Sorcery (Book 1 complete!)

Honestly was kinda iffy at the beginning because I don’t really like things where a character has a past and we are supposed to sympathize with them immediately without the seasonings of time and personally reading the events as they happen but this story has that in a very passive way which is a good thing. I really liked the way the main character is still growing and is very cool all in all.

The set-up was a bit description heavy but it was needed to establish the character. Shadow clone reality migrator is a lot, but the author is more than capable of pulling it off, and is going so.

The story is split between a crunchy LRPG system power up and character + action. No intrusive sexuality so far, but I am curious how a long term shadow clone story where each of the clones are interested in romance will remain free of a harem, even if only conceptually. Definitely a good add to your follows

With only a minor tip of the headband to our one and only favourite shonen manga (a substitution jutsu! not the anime), this story is shaping up to be a really fun and unique take on the shadow clone power in a fantasy world. The MC is likeable and morally grey, and the author has an engaging and sensory writing style, coupled with a great sense of humour.

4.5 stars only because of minor spelling mistakes, but who can fault it with the current release schedule?

Great story from the jump! Interesting world and protagonist. Magic, clones, and past lives. Can't wait for more of the story to unfold! Every chapter raises the stakes while peeling back another layer of the plot. There’s a real sense that something big is building beneath the surface, and I can’t wait to see where it all goes. 

I'm enjoying the story so far. The concept is a fun one. Who hasn't wished they could copy themselves and have the copy do stuff for them? The world's is interesting and the characters are engaging. This would be an easy 5 star if the editing was better.

There was a note from the author at one point apologizing and saying their now ex was the one that did the editing for them. Breakups suck and it must doubly stuck of you were relying on someone for this. However, there are lots of suggested edits here for grammar and spelling that are over a month old but the author hasn't taken the time to go through them. It's not as fun as writing but the story does suffer in places because of it. Hopefully they can work on that or find someone to help them soon. 

Inspired by the Naruto anime, but follows a very different path. Hardly a cut, just saying expect a lead more pragmatic & with an anti-hero bent instead of anyone pulled directly from the show. Coming into this expecting a double of a certain spiky-haired blonde will just disappoint you, and this story deserves a decent shot for what it is.

My rating is somewhat cautious & provisional, if only because it is just at "Chapter 16" as I write this, and is still in the stage of the hero learning what he's gotten himself into. Still, it's a good start, some decent set-up for this new world, and a lead character I can appreciate. We'll see how it goes -- but so far, I'm liking what I'm seeing.

I really like the story with the clones and the worldbuilding is top notch. I think this story has a bright future. I am really curios about the future skill development and how the main character will survive in this new world. If you want to read a good story with clone magic you are at the right place. 

The story really dives deep into the magic system. The whole power system felt limited at the start but with all upgrades things have become so much more interesting. It is good to see that the author did not make this a limited/fixed power system.

I do not think I have seen or read any other 'clone' stories on RR. If there are any other, this would be gold standard for those stories.

Overall everything is just very well thought-out and written. Yes there are small grammar mistakes but they don't take anything away from the story.

Rational protagonist, rational cast, no plot armour and conveniences needed to supplant a lack of ability from the writer.

GOOD.Simple as.

Too many reviews for too many works are overly nice. "It's sooo good!!!" "Gooooooood!", when in reality they are at best middling sludge. That doesn't help anybody, if anything it hurts the author. The only one to "gain" something is the reviewer who gets its sad dopamine kick from "being nice".

This work? THIS IS WORTH YOUR TIME.

Great concept, although the plot can skip important information every once in a while & make you think you misread something. I think the writing is definitely improving over time. There’s an interesting sub plot of the clones developing feelings of their own while also staying connected to the main person, but I can’t tell if this plot will be developed in a satisfying way yet.
