Boomeroad is one of those games that you kinda constantly think about in a "I wish it was better" scenario. Like it's clearly working with something here, but it's just not fleshed out. It's really fun to create your own paths, the mechanics introduced later in the 2nd stage work well to help evolve gameplay, and it's fun to explore overall. Part of the problem is just the budget and time allotted here clearly don't do the game any favors. With it being a mess to navigate through, and nearly every place you go looking around, looking exactly like the area before it. This wouldn't be so much a problem if you just play the game to just zip through as fast as you can, but with a few collectables scattered here and there it's clear the game wants you to explore. Again the actual exploration is fun, but it's kinda like looking around an office building with everything so bland and samey really helping confuse the player in what would otherwise be a fun time. Add to the fact the game is not particularly long or challenging in a way that would get a player to come back means you are kinda one and done with it. It may be cheap as free, but it's really hard to argue to spend more time with this game than the bare minimum needed to beat it. Still fun with it's basics though.

This is a fantastic free game. There is about an hour of thoroughly enjoyable content here, with absolutely no fat involved. Delightful!

Short and fun game. The core mechanics idea is good, and the environment design and sound effects somewhat resemble Gravity Rush. It could have been good if it had been released as a full game.

A nice game with an interesting movement mechanic and collectibles to find. Once you get more familiar with the movement, it's tempting to start 'cheesing' and break away from the intended long route, which feels quite intended if you want to get good times on the time attack mode.

There are only 2 main levels and the story is whatever, but the game is free to play so it's not a major complaint.

Overall = 7/10

A solid if simple concept for an exploratory platform game even if the aiming and jumping could be better. The ruined floating islands design has been done to death, but being able to create your own routes is interesting, even if it does make it far too easy to break the intended route through the stages. Finding all the collectables was fun, but the enemies were annoying and unnecessary and the time attack mode was bland.

I wish there was more,i really,and i mean REALLY love the game mechanics,the story is great,sounds and visuals where top tier for me,and i wish there was like a multyplayer version or race to see who can finish first,other than that,a very very solid 9/10

The idea of the game is not bad and the boomerang road mechanic works well. However, the levels are really, and i mean REALLY, easy to cheese, almost by accident. This, in addition to the short length of the game, makes it feel like there even isn't a game, just a fun movement mechanic.

Severely overshadowed by two other free Bandai Namco masterpieces, Boomerang Road Craft Action game conceptually is the weakest of the three (no mud cannon dogs and no penetrating robots). But getting anything from this dev for free is rare, so it's probably still worth checking out.
