I was talking about this exchange just the other day! During the development of (I think) Siege of Dragonspear, we had a side quest or dialogue that mentioned some tropical fruits and we weren't sure if it would be lore-accurate to mention them along the Sword Coast.

A lot of the time, setting lore gets used as a cutting instrument—"No you can't have that here, it doesn't exist"—and the reason I love this exchange is that it demonstrated Ed's willingness to *expand* the world of possibilities to include something small but meaningful.

I don't recall which exact fruit I was asking about (if you play Siege of Dragonspear you might see it mentioned, but it's been a while), but that's what the question was about: "Does this tropical fruit grow anywhere along the Sword Coast?"
