@TheEdVerse Back in the 90s I came up with the Halruaan school of magic for "geometrists". If you could create perfect geometry in spellcraft you opened up a whole new way of spellcasting. Was something like this ever discussed at the design table?

Yes. I have always had "table magic" as a form of spellcasting (that doesn't require the Gift). It consists of placing the right material components in the correct patterns, circled and joined by lines with the right runes written on them. (So, geometry. ;} ) #Realmslore

Thanks! The Halruaans & Zakharans made sense to me to be the ones to develop that form of magic. I'm putting that into playtest this summer for the Netheril heavy adventures set in 1371DR that I'm publishing thru the DMs guild. Will update u as we go along. Thanks Ed!
