Which audio formats are supported?
Disney+ offers a growing library of content in up to 5.1 and up to Dolby Atmos (support varies by plan).

Once you select a show or movie, directly beneath the title you will find a list of all the formats supported on the device you are using. You can also find a list of all potentially available formats, including those available on other devices, by navigating to the Details tab.
Apple’s immersive Spatial Audio is available only on the Apple Vision Pro.
How do I adjust my audio quality?
Disney+ will automatically use the highest quality audio supported on your device (including external audio systems or soundbars) and available with your plan.

To enjoy IMAX Enhanced sound, you will need to be watching an IMAX Enhanced title on an Android TV device that supports DTS:X audio. Please note that IMAX Enhanced sound is currently supported on select Android TV devices from Sony, Hisense, Sharp, and Xiaomi only. If you’re watching Disney+ on an Android TV device that is capable of Dolby Atmos audio and have a plan that includes access to Dolby Atmos, you can choose to enable or disable Dolby Atmos by navigating to App Settings > AUDIO PLAYBACK.
Why am I getting low-quality audio?
If you’re getting low-quality audio, try these troubleshooting steps to help resolve the issue:

Make sure the title you’re watching is offered in the supported audio format for your device and plan

Confirm that your audio system is compatible with Dolby Digital Plus (for 5.1) and/or Dolby Atmos

All components should support high-bandwidth digital content, including HDMI cables

Older audio components can have an impact on quality and possibly prevent playback entirely

Check your internet connection

Take a speed test on your device and compare the results with our recommended connection speeds
