Transparency Mass Ban - 2026-02-04

Hello all,

This is not a post I've wanted to make at all. I have made this thread to discuss the recent exodus and malicious behaviour of several (now ex) staff.
My patience has finally run out. I have tried to just let this run its course, and let things handle themselves but my hand has been forced
The events of the past 6 months along with myself being made homeless for several months has pushed me to my breaking point.

For context: 8 years ago, Jon (aka Serafeline, Screwdriver, Frosty Scales, Tailbait, koopa516 etc) drove me and a friend called Pansy apart. He dared me to message her while drunk for his amusement last April. She had been gone from my life for years. This event put us back in contact with one another and she has been supporting me throughout.

The goings-on about Pansy controlling me is, for lack of a better term, complete and utter horseshit. If anything, I've been the one controlling her. She gave me the confidence to stand up for myself and say the magic word: no. I've had to stop her from posting edgy jokes and snippy comments before. She has a rough sense of humour (that also applies to herself) but she does care about people. This person dropped everything and helped me get back on my feet at the lowest point in my life so far, and I'm made out to be mentally ill and told to "seek help"? Go fuck yourself. I owe her my life, because if she hadn't I'd be dead from hypothermia from sleeping on the streets.

Anyone attempting to stir shit in relation to this will be banned without mercy, because I am done with your shit. I want to sit down for at least a day and not have to worry about people stirring yet more bullshit, causing yet more ill health I could go without, because frankly I would rather be feeding ducks at the pond with my friend and watching House. Instead I've had to constantly react and defend myself against a serial control freak, narcissist and liar who's been wreaking havoc on what little social groups I've had until recently for about a decade.

Red Sun has skeletons in the closet. Jon is the skeleton in the closet. He has been attached to every single major drama this community has had in its nearly 11 years, from its inception in 2015. I wanted him gone and this is the thanks I get. Life's great, eh?

Onto the next part now, the major offenders.

Jon/Screwdriver will stay banned. I do not want him back in my life, at all. The amount of pain and suffering I've been through because of his actions is incalculable. Jon, why the fuck do you think I want you to talk to me? After what you've done, stay out of my life. I wouldn't even piss on you if you were on fire.

Suisolder has been removed from his role. I have received word that he is intentionally staying on instruction of one of Jon's goons. Just go, stop having someone behave like a minder because you all behave like jealous exes, voraciously checking over every letter I type as well as constantly F5ing the homepage to check if you've finally been hit with a ban. Don't bother checking anymore, you're all banned.

Literail will not be allowed back without good reason for repeated concern trolling of applicants/staff. I see this as a bad faith attempt to dissuade people from volunteering to keep things under control. I have been sent evidence of this and frankly I am not happy. You have not been banned for "talking about the staff exodus", you have been banned for repeated malicious behaviour.

42 will not be allowed back without good reason for repeated smearing of myself and Mikusch, and for promoting what I can only call "we'll make our own redsun with blackjack and hookers". His hyper-tribalism and no desire to listen to any other side of the story, has earned him a place on this wall of shame.

For the record, there are a fair few more users here who have not been named. They have also been banned, and can reach out should they have any questions.

In addition, I have deputized known responsible and experienced users and accepted some permanent moderators back onto the team. They will be cleaning up and handling the goons who attempt to cause harm to others, this community, or my own health and wellbeing. They have been instructed to crack down hard on certain topics and to keep the peace. In short, just go about your day. Tell anyone who brings up drama to fuck off. Talk about baking or ducks or some shit.

Attempting to turn this place into an alt-right haven, progressive "woke" utopia or any other sort of political base will get you and anyone associated with you removed. This is a community for a game. That's all it is.

All I wanted was to get rid of an abuser in my life. Instead I've been framed as some sort of horrendous bipolar monster being manipulated by the devil, being painted as a bigot, therefore I'm "evil", therefore it's justified to do anything you want against me. well said I have personal experiences with both sides that was less than good which i will not go into but this seriously needs to stop. Bickering and dragging each other down isnt producing any good results.

Let bygones be bygones. I left behind the stuff that gave me negative impressions about redsun and the people behind it and turned new leaf.
I am very sure both sides have disagreements and problems with each other, but we need to leave this behind otherwise we will be locked into this catfight that does nothing but hurt yourself.

Starting this with a few things:
I don’t like getting involved in drama. I will admit that I will talk based on what I’ve heard and I will gossip in the background especially on ongoing drama. I’m writing this now because I truly think you are acting so out of line here. Tohru I also acknowledge your personal life has really sucked for you. There were some things I’ve learned from this post that I or most others did not know. I really wish that you communicated some things regarding that to the staff. That said, that is something that should not be used as an excuse, which is something you would acknowledge for others.
There's also some idiots like Silva-Stars stirred shit for no productive reason and 42 doing their thing during Zane’s event was also something I will say looks bad. Behavior like that is indeed scuffed and I do not support that. Those people, if they even want to after all this, can take accountability for themselves. Also do wanna mention, why did you take down those screenshots of a public discord? You clearly utilized them as an integral part of the post in the first place so what was with that? You’ve also clearly dragged Mikusch’s name through the mud after they vented so why get rid of all instead of admitting you’ve messed up in that regard in the post? Oh and I will be assuming that yes this is indeed all statements and such you are writing of your own volition. Jonathan being a part of every single major drama, sure lets go with that later. As for Sui being a spy, that's a wack claim supported only by a single out-of-context screencap you took as literally as possible and you took him out back for that.
Oh and for the big elephant that you have yet to address appropriately, let's be clear you know you should’ve made your statement regarding the pax incident leaving zero ambiguousness as soon as you returned from there. With the incident involving a former community head as well as several current and former Redsun members, its a huge fuck-up to not even make a public attempt to clarify all what happened or at the very least. I’m not going to discuss that much, that would be for all the people that were involved in-person or dragged into that. What I’ll say is, from what you’ve said/done and what I’ve heard from others, I am very confident in not trusting you over anyone else that was part of the incident.
Now for a transparency post even with those screenshots you previously, you fail to provide any proof of hows or whys. All you have here right now are statements and feelings that can’t be backed up. You yourself have dealt with these types of situations of all “statements and feelings” and disregarded them appropriately. Why is it that your particular situation is different from others from before? You know full damn well the implications of these posts that you're making, especially for someone who was on the receiving end in 2020 when 404 pulled out a zip file in publicly denouncing you and you had to get others to bail you out for your own bad decisions. Really nice seeing how you have learned nothing from that and are, in fact, weaponizing it at this moment.

How about you properly back up your very bold claims first, if literail is wrong, use your own words instead of victimizing yourself. It’s an honest to god joke that you’re expressing yourself in that manner when you’re taking actions like removing bans without consulting any others and acting offended when logs are checked to see what else you did. Please explain yourself why and how there's a clear discrepancy between people knowing for a fact that you should be completely aware of the Swing situation, and you somehow not being aware or lacking the evidence. For a major drama, did Jonathan intentionally make it so out of the people that were informed, you were the only person who didn’t receive the messages? Also, do you not realize how insane it looks to instantly go from handing the Swing situation to you peddling someone else’s suggestion that Screwdriver predated Swing? Schizo-posting for here, this comes off as you actively collaborating with that person to convince staff that Jonathan is a big bad boy who preys on groomed victims. Anyone who would come up with something that bat shit crazy with no concrete evidence would’ve been binned and completely discarded and here's a viewpoint that is being promoted. Why is this another of your exceptions??? Why were you trying to insist that staff should prod this unknown person for a “missing piece of a puzzle” You were asking why we care so much about this unknown person, it's because they’re pushing a ridiculous idea that you would have normally told them to get bent over if it were any other person besides Jonathan that they were posting about.

Now, quite frankly it's really disappointing to see how this situation still develops to this day. It’s been compared to 2018 with a similar exodus and changing of guard, I don’t think it's comparable to back then, I think it’s much worse than 2018 as of now.

Because I've talked with someone regarding this and learned further information. I still do not appreciate what he did, but I at least have the decency to retract things when I'm wrong.

I didn't initially address the pax incident because I believed it was a personal matter and didn't want to drag it into the community and potentially cause a fuss like this one. That's it. That's the entire reason. I regret not addressing it publicly because it allowed this to happen.
I do not often talk with others about my own problems, hence why others' narratives often come out on top. I can be too prideful to talk, if that's the best way to put it.

Way to twist words. Users have the ability to ignore decals now via the /ignore tool. If they don't like something, they can... use the block tool we gave them. Once the shit regarding the spray rule had calmed down I was wanting to relax it again after a while once the line-pushing bad faith users had been put in their place, because the volunteer moderators don't need this shit to deal with as well.

I've dealt with similar situations before where an allegation turned out to be either overexaggerated, misrepresented or outright false. This was no different as Jon did not provide the proof of this to me, nor did he think it appropriate to remove the accused person from the team (or suggest so). I would love to provide you with the screencaps of this, but that is unfortunately on my deleted account.

The simplest explanation is often the truth, because it is. I wanted more information. That's it.

And yes, I am taking responsibility for this, and accountability too. Again, I did not tell him explicitly to post this or anything else. I did chastise him for this in private.
And I can actually vouch for him, because he's one of the people who has been keeping me correct on pronouns with a lot of people. I forget a lot of the time because I don't think, out of absentmindedness. He is handling most of the day to day cleaning in my absence while I handle doctor's appointments and referrals.
I disagree with you there, partially. Maybe I don't because I just have higher tolerance to certain things. Offense is taken and it's subjective, ultimately I stand in line with my values of not taking down something, and again, I'll take what comes my way, good or bad.

I'm tired of all of this. The recent changes I've made have involved stricter controls on controversial content and what I guess you'd call hate speech, with plans to introduce something akin to the Gentleman's Ticket onto the servers themselves along with a few changes that are still in discussion.

But the TL;DR is that I am taking accountability. I can admit when I'm wrong, and I was wrong to clam up and not tell my side of things. I did it to try and avoid this, because I didn't want it to be a big issue.
But now it is. And I reap what I sow.
