This article is written in American English, which has its own spelling conventions (center, color, defense, realize, traveled) and some terms may be different or absent from other varieties of English. According to the relevant style guide, this should not be changed without broad consensus.

On 4 September 2024, it was proposed that this article be moved from Artemis 2 to Artemis II. The result of the discussion was moved.

Opening paragraph says, "Artemis 4 will be the first crewed launch from Launch Complex 39B of the Kennedy Space Center since STS-116 in 2006." Is this written as intended, or is it simply a typo for "Artemis 2"? Not really. Apollo 10 was a "dress rehearsal" that included flying the LEM close to the lunar surface. Apollo 8, like this mission, did not bring a LEM. RickyCourtney (talk) 16:36, 10 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Change "The mission is scheduled to take place no earlier than April 2026." to "The mission is scheduled to take place no later than April 2026. in first paragraph." Article says NASA dropped all secondary payloads from the mission, but it doesn't mention that they selected new ones. Not done for now: There is a comment on this infobox segment regarding this. April 2026 is still the date on the NASA website, and the February 2026 date has not been confirmed yet. I've seen somewhere that ICPS will conduct an 'apogee raise burn' to put the spacecraft into a highly elliptical Earth orbit with an apogee of 40,000 nautical miles (74,000 km). Is there a good source for that? (— 𝐬𝐝𝐒𝐝𝐬 — - talk) 21:50, 24 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The article could be improved with a sentence in the lead section indicating the planned mission duration. Being WP:BOLD I looked for that sentence in the Mission section of the article and didn't find it there. Is there a good source for this info? • Why it should be changed: EM-2 was not a redirect mission or a support mission, but an exploration mission. The redirect was to be done by a separate mission, EM-2 was to explore the redirected asteroid, per the first paragraph of the body.
