If you're worried about it before going, I feel like the post nut clarity might make it worse. So for peace of mind you're probably better off just going to a este instead.

There is always a possibility.
Do your research about STDs, evaluate if you can handle the stress, think about your situation (spouse, girlfriend, people sharing your apartment) and the impact that an STD might have on them and your life.
