Signs it’s a fecal impaction?
So this is day 5 of no solid poops, for the first 3 days, i didn’t even poop at all. Day 4 i had small burst of diarrhea and one tiny amount of very wet poop but not necessarily full watery diarrhea. Today i woke up and i was having so much diarrhea. I can pass gas easier than before as well. My worry is i have not had a hard poop yet; so i’m worried this may be an impaction. I’m not in a lot of pain. Sorry for tmi
Is your stomach hard or do you feel fullness or any pain? I’m no doctor but I think those things are more indicative of an impaction. If you’ve had a lot of diarrhea that could just be your body’s way of breaking down the stool itself. Sometimes it does happen that your body breaks down the stool itself when it’s been stuck around a few days. You’re the best judge at the end of the day. If you don’t feel cleared out definitely worth getting it checked.
