My actual playtime got killed because i run the game using machine translation tool
I enjoyed my 100% machine translated experience. The main plot is nice with some twist that i didn't expect, i have only done like 3 of 5 endings so far and probably will update whenever i get the other 2. The gameplay is standard horror rpgm with mostly walking around getting items to progress, with some puzzles and chase in there. Some of the puzzles require japanese answer which made it hard for me but that is totally on my part for using mtl.
Also i like the creepies designs, love me some cool fish people

For a free game, アクアリウムは踊らない is fantastic. It offers more content than some games I paid $20 for. The story is interesting, the art is beautiful. Some elements were a bit frustrating, especially the puzzles, some of which filtered me (not sure if my Japanese isn't good enough or I'm simply just low IQ, probably both).
Definitely recommended.

I usually don't finish games. But this time I finished all 5 endings, and man I am glad to have played this gem. The illustrations are beautiful and I love the characters so much. Once the English translation/VA comes out I definitely recommend to play it. Thank you for creating this game.

For those wanting to MTL, I used LunaTranslator (used Gemini API and surprisingly the translations were on point.)

I kinda want to be a /jp/ snob and say if you can't read Japanese you don't DESERVE this game, but actually you should play it even if you have to use a MTL. The horror elements are there but not overwhelming, it's mostly more that it has an unsettling atmosphere of helplessness for most of the game, it reminds me a little bit of Amnesia: The Dark Descent in that way. The way you respond to most threats is to run away and try not to die. But the controls are simple and the game is really generous with save points so even if you do it's not too frustrating and you can get right back to where you were and try again. You'll catch hints and teases of what's going on throughout the beginning and middle of the game, and if you're observant and thoroughly investigate your environment you might even figure it out early, then the game drops the reveal on you in a scene that feels like it's building up to the end but is actually the climax that brings things falling towards the end. Between that and the puzzle solving, some of which are genuine head-scratchers, not as in unfair or purposely misleading but do genuinely take some thought, it also reminds me a little bit of Silent Hill 2. Neither classic of horror I compared this game to is a comparison I make lightly, I really think all this game needs is an English TL for it to explode, I want more people to play it and experience it, it's so creative and weird and cool and something that'll stick with me for a long time despite being a relatively short game. I can't read as fast in Japanese as I can in English, but I still want to go back and get the rest of the endings. My only complaint is basically a personal linguistic skill issue, some things were harder than they should have been for me because I don't know a lot of the Japanese names of fish...

A very fun aquatic life knowledge science game, play to the end of the game in thinking that the meaning of this game is to promote the protection of marine life, right.
The plot is very conventional, the protagonist in search of friends and embarked on an adventure story. I have to say that the aquarium is quite big and can actually accommodate other worlds. Along the way, he meets many inhabitants, all of whom are very interesting: a dolphin lady who wants to be an idol, a generator eel who can only wake up by the sound of a horn, and a hermit crab who helps you along the way. And! You can also enjoy penguin jazz! It's so cool!
The game mechanics are friendly, the battles are not too difficult, and there are plenty of archive points and stalls. The graphics are also very nice, so I recommend it.

An absolutely amazing, beautiful game that I fell in love with the second I played it. The story, the characters, the gorgeous music, and the art-- it all brings so much joy and wonder to the experience of playing this game. Getting to enjoy the game as it's grown in popularity in Japan, to see it gain more and more attention, more collaborations, and even a Switch version soon makes me happy beyond compare! Daidai-sensei's hard work does not go unnoticed, and knowing that they don't even like horror games but made one so interesting and compelling shows true skill!!

I've never been more grateful to have found akuodo when I did, and to support Daidai-sensei along the way as this masterpiece gains more and more acknowledgement it totally deserves. It's still only in Asian translations, but given just how big it's grown, I am eagerly awaiting for when the English translation will come and I get to share this lovely game with my friends who don't know Japanese like I do. (Heck, if it doesn't within this year, I'll happily offer myself to help translate it for free!)

The puzzles were surprisingly difficult, the character designs are so fun and interesting, story twists made my jaw drop, and I struggled to get all the endings. It's exactly how the perfect horror game SHOULD be.

Truly one of the best indie games I've played in a long time. I'm sure some of the vibes will remind long time indie players of Wadanohara due to its heavy themes related to sea life/the ocean and how it is equally beautiful yet dangerous, if anyone wants to have some sort of close comparison, but the stories couldn't be more different.

Akuodo and Daidai-sensei, reach beyond the stars!!!!

EDIT: The next day or two after I finally sat down and made this comment, I saw the tweets on twitter regarding the release of the english version of Akuodo. It goes without saying I am BEYOND EXCITED for august 1st!!! CONGRATULATIONS, DAIDAI-SENSEI!
