Democratic voters walked their party right into a political trap sprung by President Donald Trump.
The government entered a shutdown early Wednesday morning after Congress failed to pass a government funding bill that would extend government funding through mid-November. Both parties seem to be digging in. Democrats, however, are stuck in a gnarly bind, thanks to a voter base that wanted a political brawl with Republicans and the Trump administration.
