Chengdu, the Ukrainian delegation was refused entry to the stadium during the opening ceremony because the colors of their uniforms were similar to Ukraine’s national flag 
The Ukrainian delegation was directly instructed by representatives of the organizer: to enter the stadium and participate in the opening parade, the athletes must remove their jackets. However, the Ukrainian side considered this a violation of the norms — the uniform of each national team is traditionally designed with elements of state symbols.
The Ukrainian delegation took a united stance and warned that if the decision wasn’t revised, the team wouldn’t enter the stadium at all, with the exception of two flag bearers.
The situation was eventually resolved.
The organizer claimed that this was just a mistake made by security officers who misinterpreted the rules; there’s no political consideration…
