and yes, I agree with you that the whole crown ordeal didn't feel right. Everything has to end (for the time being at least :P), and it's the ending that most often gets remembered. I too think swapping just the crown parts between endings would make more sense (to me :P)
As for Oleg... well, he was deluded by King, there is not so much to add to his story.
You don't feel Oleg was on his way to redemption? He did terrible things for the king, but he shows sadness in theater after you defeat him, he rescues the boy after he fell down the tower, and he helps the boy escape from the dungeon. Also, the passage he uses behind the painting has a drawing that makes it seem like he was planning to murder the king in his sleep, right? I just expected him to make an appearance in the perfect ending is all.
???
i didn't need to feel that, it was obvious. What I said is that his story is finished, there is nothing much to add.
I'd like to discuss it with you further, but I feel your tone is drifting toward being more argumentative than I intended for this conversation. This is just my opinion, and it seems you're steadfast in yours. It's nothing to get worked up over. Thanks for offering an opposing viewpoint, though!

There's an other thing i don't understand, in the "bad" ending, the cat is in the treasure chamber, next to his statue, does that means the mother is ... dead ? (i mean in this ending)
Any explication ?
PS : sorry if my english is wrong, i'm French
Well, the game already makes it clear with the cards and the name of the city that Teslagrad is a place in a fictional Russia, Mesher seems to be France, Motorland England, yet i'm not quite sure what real country Angloria is.
