After gaining experience from a system development company to a tech company and then to a freelance engineer, I changed jobs because I wanted to broaden my knowledge and get more involved in business.

I work on system development for the client app development team at XR City. XR City is an entertainment app that displays AR content when you capture real-world locations and objects with the camera on your mobile device, allowing you to play Entertainment , enjoy stories in the virtual world, and take photos and videos that will look great on social media.

We are placing content in the form of "XR events" throughout Japan, but because it is a new challenge, there is little established know-how, so we had to actively discover problems and solutions ourselves. For example, if there are not enough people experiencing a particular event or attracting visitors to a particular location, we can find both problems and solutions because we can be in touch with the actual situation of visitors on the spot. We looked at the shape of the local facility, observed people's lines of flow and line of sight, looked at the content, saw the figures and expressions of the people experiencing the event, and sometimes talked to them to find out what was happening. As a result, we were able to feel a wonderful sense of accomplishment and satisfaction, as the number of people playing the application increased dramatically at the event after the improvements were made. Our development method is agile, and we are making improvements quickly and repeatedly so that we can draw a story of an experience that is even more valuable to users and provide it to the market.
