JEFFERSON CITY — Missouri officials filed a lawsuit Monday challenging the U.S. Department of Justice’s plans to monitor polls in St. Louis for compliance with federal election laws.

St. Charles County Elections Director Kurt Bahr said his legal counsel had reviewed the court documents, and said voting could continue.
