One of the things Windows and Linux computers were better at two decades ago than today's smartphones is uploading files to the Internet.
Even modern smartphones are hardly able to upload large files through their internet browser in a background tab or while using other apps. Sometimes the file upload just interrupts and shows an error, other times the upload page unloads completely and reloads when reopened, meaning all upload progress is gone.
When the smartphone is in stand-by mode, the upload gets interrupted, even with power saving deactivated. You can not lock your phone's screen without interrupting the upload, so you can not leave your smartphone unattended during an active upload, where as a Windows or Linux computer can upload files while the screen is locked. It just works.
Is there any way to make Android handle background file uploads well? A hidden developer setting? Battery consumption does not matter for the duration of the upload.
