Basha, The Last gunman Tribe In China

Basha Village lies on the southern border of Guizhou Province, is home to over 2,000 residents living in more than 300 households retains well the unique traditions and primitive tribe culture. The residents still wear costumes of the Ming (A.D.1368-1644) and Qing (A.D.1644-1911) dynasties. Some of them are armed with a knife on the waist and a fowling piece. They are also characterized with special haircut. At the age of 16, each man will have an adult ceremony when their hair is cut clearly only leaving one fistful combed into a knot. Their ancestors use guns to fight the bears in the forest to guard their homeland. Today the villagers in Basha preserve their musketeer heritage, which makes Basha the only tribe that can legally carry real guns in China and is famed for being the last gunman tribe in China.
