Seduction needs at least a massive nerf, or at best something to counteract it. I'm Emperor of Britannia, and the majority of my wives have ended up seduced, as well such that my character hates his/her spouse since they are getting shtupped by every lowly Baron in the realm who has the seduction focus.

Implement a chastity belt modifier Paradox! (or let me be able to arrest and strip his titles without a relations hit)

You can arrest him but he shouldn't be risking the affair in the first place.

But what im saying is your puny vassal of a vassals shouldn't bother trying to seduce your wive(s).

Kind of funny to watch a single count make an enemy of the entire realm's nobility through his scandalus ventures. Even if they're not after your own wife I believe if they get caught enough and your relations with the pope are high enough excommunicate him.

I agree that seduction is over-powered, but it can lead to some funny situations. My friend kept on using in Multiplayer, to the point of annoying us all. It bit him in the ♥♥♥♥ though, as he tried to seduce the King of Poland when he had 0 intrigue (honest + kind + little base) and the Queen of Poland with 14 intrigue murdered him. It was very funny for everyone but him

You think that didnt happen back in the day when there werent paternity tests? bastards arent born with some kind of magical mark on them, cuckolds dont really grow horns, and genetics dont work like in game of thrones where black haired men can only have black haired sons, so that "bastard" they thought they discovered could as often as not have actually been theirs, unless you explicitly found them ♥♥♥♥ing each other, in a world without sufficient science, thats the best you had.

Why wouldnt/shouldnt he? Explain. He doesnt care what the player behind the caliph, who has menus and tables of relationships between people, think. The caliph cant scroll over his wives and see "pregnant with child of X (Bastard)" and again, do you somehow think infidelity was invented in the last like 50 years? for most of history there was no such thing as a paternity test, you had to base it on rumors, and pretty much nothing else, as we lacked cameras too. That count is in no danger, he, a man of the same racial profile as you presumably, slept with your wife, and unless you or someone specifically saw them banging you dont know that, the kid will be born with the sorts of features possible to people from that region, so again, unless you knew she was unfaithful, you cant really "That eye color is wrong, obviously this baby is the son of this specific baron over there!"

If pregnancy tests do not exist, and you do it in private, some time while hes away on business, you arent risking anything aside from stds if applicable. Also, that happens constantly. screwing the bosses wife is a sitcom trope at this point, usually related to christmas parties, or again "the boss is off on a trip" episodes, and the like.

But yes, I do seem to not understand what the problem is. I assume you as the player are having your pride hurt by your kings wife cheating on him, and wish that you could seduce anyone you wanted while being safe from the same happening to you.

You picked a wife with positive traits, I assume attractive and either quick or genius, traits that are valued by the AI, those rulers are also attracted to her, and you have yet to lock her down into anything more than a political marriage.

The difference is that in real life it's possible that any given person has had an extra-marital adventure. Maybe a couple.
From what I've read, this DLC turns that into "half of the characters in the realm have shagged everybody else". Not to mention that there's a big difference from "some person cheated with some other person they're really attracted to" and the game's version, which is more like "the queen of everything has slept with every single senile peasant around".

I tend to assume humans havent changed much in relation to our basic insticts in that short of a period of time, and tend to figure that what we now observe as dating and the like just used to express itself in the form of the various child/teen brides, when being sent off to live with some dude theyve never met in his castle, probably were more than happy and willing to spend time with people they might actually care about and be interested in they happen to meet over the course of being stuck in that political marriage to the dude whos castle they were sent to.

Ive pretty much -never- had the problem that is being described here, at least not in situations where I cared, If my king loves his wife, I work to make them lovers and never seem to end up having them seduced by anyone else, If they dont, then my dungeon gets some use and he gets a new wife.
